Zogarth is a GameLit author that is best known for the “Primal Hunter” series of novels. He published “The Primal Hunter” his debut novel in 2022 and has since kicked on to make this into a series.
Before he became a bestselling author, he was deep in the corporate world with actual pants and redress shirts doing the daily grind.
He now considers himself a hermit as she writes about a character that progressively advances through the levels fighting with a bow.
He started out posting serializations of his debut work on “Royal Road” in 2020. A month later, his work became very popular that he opened a Patreon page, wherein he got contributions of more than $5,000 in just his first month on the platform.
This made it possible for Zogarth to leave his day job and become a full-time author. He now has more than 3000 patrons and makes more than $20,000 every month from his works.
“The Primal Hunter” by Zogarth opens on what seems like an ordinary day, where Jake has to deal with dangers, monsters, and opportunities.
The world had changed when things reached a threshold no one knew existed as humanity has to be integrated into the vast multiverse. It is a new world where the only thing one could rely on was power.
Jake seems like your usual office worker that now has to attend a tutorial full of opportunities and dangers. He should be concerned and fearful of his new reality but as his fellow coworkers break down at every hurdle he thrives.
Zogarth writes beautiful descriptions in excellent prose that pulls you in. The dynamic has some great preshifts and there is also some underlying humor that works very well too.
Since this is a GameLit story, there is a lot of RPG material though this never seems like an overload.
It provides a lot of information, even though it does not give too much information thus allowing readers to go on a journey with Jake, as they unlock a range of aspects of their new attributes and skills.
Zogarth’s novel “The Primal Hunter 2” continues to follow Jake who is forced to confront reality as the tutorial took an unexpected turn.
He has finally found his goal in life as he finally qualifies on a quest where he is facing three Beast Lords. If he wins he will have the right to face The King of the Forest the final opponent of the Tutorial.
He is happy to go on the quest as he immerses himself in gaining levels and grasping power as he hunts the dungeons to find and kill increasingly stronger opponents.
But will Jake be able to find and defeat the baddest man of the tutorial before the game ends? On a lighter note, will Jack ever get out of any fight without getting his shirt ripped apart?
It is a solid story that provides a lot of entertainment. Jake is a pragmatic man who takes no time at all to realize that his world has changed and changes himself so that he can survive.
