Author Wanita J May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had plenty of energy and a vivid imagination.

As the youngest of six kids (four older brothers and a sister) taught her from a young age to be competitive in every aspect of life.

At the age of sixteen, she started competing in track and field, and before she turned seventeen, representing Canada in the high jump. She continued competing, and wound up breaking Canada’s JR High Jump record.

Wanita went to University of Toronto, and Kansas State University, winning CIAU’s and became All-American 6x-NCAA Indoors Runner Up and more. She’s jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occasion. She won the Francophone Games, represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., and loved every minute of every competition she took part in.

From the grueling workouts, the days she believed her lungs would spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the crazy weight she lifted on her back, and traveling around the world and the chance to read, it’s her favorite past time.

Life continued with her husband (who is a distance runner from Liverpool, UK and who she met at KSU) and then their first, then their second, and finally their third kid. Their house became filled with more stories and imagination.

After her dad died in the year 2008, from a six-year battle with cancer (which Wanita still believes he won the battle against), she started writing again. It was a passion she had loved for years, however she realized life was much too short to keep putting it off.

“Rae of Hope” is the first novel in the “Chronicles of Kerrigan” series and was released in the year 2011. How hard does somebody have to shake the family tree in order to learn the truth about the past? Rae Kerrigan, fifteen years old, has never really known her family’s history. Her dad and mom passed away when she was young and it’s just when she accepts a scholarship to the prestigious Guilder Boarding School in England that a mysterious family secret gets revealed.

Are the sins of the father also be the sins of the daughter? While Rae struggles with her new friends, a star-struck forbidden love, and a new school, she has to also face the ultimate challenge: receive this tattoo on her sixteenth birthday with specific powers which might bind her to an unspeakable darkness. It is up to Rae to undo this dark evil in the past of her family and have a ray of hope for her own future.

“Courage Runs Red” is the first novel in the “Blood Red” series and was released in the year 2015. What if courage was your one option?

When Kallie lands a college interview with the city’s new hotshot police officer, she’s got no idea that everything in her life is just about to change. The detective is handsome, young, and appears to have an unnatural ability at stopping the increasing local crime rate. Detective Liam’s particular interest in Kallie herself sends her head and heart stumbling over one another.

When this raging blood feud between vampires spills over into her own home, she is caught in the middle. Torn between family loyalty and love, Kallie has to find the bravery to fight what she fears most and possibly risk it all. Even if it means she will die for those that she loves.

“Never Look Back” is the first novel in the “Paranormal Huntress” series and was released in the year 2017. Atlanta Skolar is a huntress. Not the vampire-slaying type, nor is she the ever-brooding Winchester brothers from Supernatural. She lives a relatively normal life, at least during the day. She has friends, attends school, and does her best to survive her Uncle James’ terrible cooking.

But the nights in the city of Calen aren’t always so calm. There is a thin veil between the world of monsters (the bad and the good) and our world. Atlanta’s one of the very few that stands between the two. With help from the uncle that’s taken her in after her parents died, she spend nights making sure that the balance is kept up and either side keeps to their respective places.

That was up until something rattled all the cages and it all hit the fan. There is a new evil in town, one that has been here before, and it might just be responsible for the death of her parents. An evil that is unsatisfied with the balance. It will do all that it can to ensure darkness falls over Calen and the rest of the world once more.

Scary? That is not even the half of it. Because it’s especially interested in Atlanta herself. She’s got no clue as to why. However, since she’s a huntress, it is her job to make sure the evil is stopped, no matter what.

“Stopping Time” is the first novel in the “Kerrigan Chronicles” series and was released in the year 2018. How can you save the future when somebody’s slowly unraveling your past?

Rae Kerrigan and her friends have the lives they have always wanted finally. Security, jobs, kids, no super villains attempting to destroy the world, so things are just about as normal as they could possibly be for a group of super spies. However when somebody jumps into the past and begin messing with their future, all that they have worked so hard to achieve goes right up in smoke.

The Kerrigan gang, in order to save their own futures, have to also travel into the past. Rae, using her dad’s tatu, and the others go off on a wild time-hopping goose chase while trying to track down this latest threat before things become broken beyond all repair.

Are they going to stop this time traveler before its too late? Can they possibly manage not to lose themselves in the process? But more importantly, just how far down the rabbit hole are they willing to go?
