Vito Zuppardo started writing in 2010. He spent 25 years in the casino business operating high limit gaming customers to various casinos located around the world. It is his life adventures that make his books such fun to read, and his characters stand out.

During his time in the casino business, he made sure that some of the most affluent high rollers were well taken care of, providing them with private jets, suites, limousines, and whatever else they fancied, for an expensive price. During his first two years, Nevada Gaming Control credited Vito with bringing in over $60 million in revenue.

He was encouraged by the feedback that he got from readers of his first book, which is based on true events of his years dealing with high rollers in Vegas and by the interest displayed by the film industry, Vito penned an adaptation of his debut for the big screen. The novel was well received by readers and critics, and it received injuries from Hollywood.

Vito was born and grew up in New Orleans and he moved to Baton Rouge, after Hurricane Katrina.

“True Blue Detective” is the first novel in the “True Blue Detective” series and was released in 2015. Ride along with the New Orleans Police Department while the officers work together in order to solve some of the unusual happenings in this historic and unique city.

You will meet a former police officer, named Zack Nelson, who now lives in a retirement center due to his daughter-in-law’s illness. Despite not being keen to move, he does so temporarily to help out Tom, his son, and Patty cope with the medical issues.

Zack still got a lot of detective left inside him and senses that there is something wrong with all of the supposedly natural deaths which are happening, not just to his own family but with the other older folks that seemingly in good health. He works with the cops to help untangle and solve several ongoing crimes which appear to surround and affect him.

Along with Dave (his new roommate), and Emma Lou and Pearl Ann (his two engaging sisters that are genteel Southern women), this foursome are involved in touring New Orleans, tasting this amazing array of New Orleans drink and food, getting involved in social events, taking part in shoot outs, and creating some hijinks of their own.

Here is a fast paced tale packed with humor, mystery, international black market sales, characters you will not soon forget, and Southern charm. You will visit the Warehouse District, the French Quarter, the Garden District, and even be a guest at this unusual funeral that’s held in a true New Orleans custom.

“Crescent City Detective” is the second novel in the “True Blue Detective” series and was released in 2017. Mario DeLuca was a respected New Orleans detective for more than 20 years, and has put many criminals behind bars and there’s not a single one that wouldn’t want to see the man dead. Felipe Cruz, in court once promised that he’d get even with Mario, some day.

He still controls the streets in New Orleans from his prison cell and he makes good on this promise. Felipe orders this attack on Kate Fontenot (Mario’s fiance) and has got her fighting for her life in a hospital. There’s no better way to get revenge in Felipe’s world than to go after a loved one, and just let Mario watch her suffer from the sidelines.

Zack Nelson once again teams up with Howard (mysterious friend and limo driver) and Mario. Together they go after Felipe Cruz and the Cornerview Gang after there is a second botched kidnapping attempt made on Kate.

Mario is fed up playing by the rules and having high profile lawyers get criminals out of jail even faster than he can arrest them, takes the law into his own hands. Mario takes this untraditional route to fight crime with help from Zack and Howard. Together they take Felipe and his crew down in this showdown that Felipe never even saw coming.

“Tupelo Gypsy” is the first novel in the “Voodoo Lucy” series and was released in 2018. The legend of Voodoo Lucy starts when Lucinda Jones (age 28) leaves Tupelo, Mississippi, and her abusive, alcoholic dad behind in order to start a new life for herself in New Orleans. Now in the city where jazz bands play until dawn’s first light and nobody ever seems to really sleep, Lucy falls in love with all the eccentric and distinctive characters in the French Quarter, however quickly runs afoul of this criminal gang boss and his crew.

She’s no saint herself, having long gotten by through running these small time cons, however she dreams up this profitable voodoo laced scam and dares testify against this killer, her life begins to spiral out of control. With friends on either side of the law and this drug gang that wants her dead, can she possibly scheme her way out of danger and into the life she’s always dreamed about?

“Revenge” is the second novel in the “Voodoo Lucy” series and was released in 2019. Lucinda continues her life of intrigue in New Orleans. Her unique and interesting relationships are interwoven with Felipe Cruz, Mario DeLuca, and Stella James, in an on-again, off-again romance, all while Lucy seeks to right some of the wrongs in her life.

Her nightmares have been getting worse up until she learns the reason for them. She seeks out the perpetrator, while intent on getting revenge, while engaging her voodoo skills by creating this doll in order to send a message which chills the man right to his core. Lucy gets help and she cuts deals with some unlikely associates, doing what she must in order to get some justice.

Lucy also looks to give back to the New Orleans community, helping out abused women by renovating this neighborhood and creating a safe haven for other people. She may have crossed the line somewhat, involving making deals with politicians, money laundering, and walking a fine line of legal activities.

However it is all total Voodoo Lucy, while continue her legacy.
