Victor Methos is an American author of fiction. He was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and knew that he had an interest in law ever since he was thirteen years old. His friend had the experience of being interrogated for over eight hours by police and it resulted in a confession to a crime that his friend never committed.
From that day on, Methos wanted to practice criminal law. Methos abandoned a potential career in boxing and studying philosophy to go to school to become a defense lawyer instead. He graduated law at the University of Utah and wanted to learn all that he could about practicing law in real life. He worked at a practice that had light-up signs at the front and that would do what they could to win cases.
After that, he worked in Salt Lake City as a prosecutor for a time and then moved on to found his very own law firm. It did well and would go on to be very successful. He has argued for his clients in over a hundred trials in the course of a decade and only lost two of those.
When Methos was on a case with a father that had shot the rapists that attacked his daughter, he could not get the story out of his mind. He thought that he had to get it out on the page. It was the inspiration for his bestselling novel, The Neon Lawyer. The book was released to the public in 2013 and is the first novel in the Brigham Theodore series, followed by the sequel Mercy. Since then, he has written about legal thrillers more often and releases about two books a year in the genre.
Victor Methos is not just a star lawyer but also the author of the fictional series of novels, The Jon Stanton Series, which focuses on a police detective in San Diego named Jon Stanton. He has also written several other series of fiction as well as standalone novels.Methos resides in both S.L.C. and Las Vegas and continues to write as well as work full-time as a lawyer defending his clients.
The first novel in the Jon Stanton series is called The White Angel Murder. My first read was the neon lawyer series and I was hooked I can’t quite remember which ones were next but I remember thinking this can’t be the same author. I am a 2 year avid reader fan sadly I didn’t read all the books in perfect but didn’t take too long to catch on. Thank you for making retirement so much more enjoyable. And keep on writing by the way I got a lot of co retiree hooked also thank you again
