Vickie Carroll is a published American author.

She shifted gears in 2024 and decided to write a romantic suspense, changing things up from her typical cozy stories. The result was the romantic suspense Savannah Heat, which Carroll says is definitely more spicy than her traditional series. Check it out if you’re looking for something new to read!

Vickie Carroll is the creator and the author of multiple fictional series. These include the Prediction: Murder series, the Retirement is a Beach series, and the Retirement Can Be Murder series. She has also written several stand alone novels and has contributed to the Gold Coast Retrievers series.

The Magician Card is the first book in the Prediction: Murder series by Vickie Carroll. If you have been looking for a cozy mystery series that is quirky too, you might want to check this story out.

Harper Kagel is the main character in this story. When she hears that her cousin has taken a horrible fall that has ended up being deadly, she knows that it’s time to take a break. She stops everything that she is doing at the moment so that she can make preparations to go back to her hometown in Maine and deal with all of this.

So far, she’s managed to keep her distance from Steepwick. It’s been a long time since she’s had to even think about this strange town. It has a past with witches and the supernatural. Harper has a plan to combat all of this. She’s just going to pop into town and pay her respects and then pop out.

It has been actual years since she has been back. Harper’s just going to stay just long enough to go to the funeral and say hello to her relatives, and then pop back out of town. The only problem with this is that her cousin is harboring other plans. Plans that Harper never saw coming.

Now out of nowhere she is the new owner of the home formerly owned by her cousin, as well as a bookstore meets cafe, and a Westie dog who is very opinionated by the name of Einstein.

The residents of the town have welcomed Harper coming back and seem very excited that she’s there. This also includes her ex, who seems to be really happy that she is back. The town is happy to have a return of a local and the crime solvers’ society– the secret crime solvers’ society– makes themselves known to her and inducts her as a new member of their Cold Case Club.

When a killer decides to target her, however, she will require the assistance of the Cold Case Club to try and get to the bottom of an old family mystery. If no one is able to figure out what happened, Harper fears that she will be the next target of a killer and end up just like her cousin.

If you’re interested in spending some time in the town of Steepwick, get a copy of this book and see what you think and find out whether Harper plans to stay or just decides that coming home is not her cup of tea after all.

The Fool Card is the second book in the Prediction: Murder series by Vickie Carroll. If you like a good mystery or read the first book in this series and want to keep going and see what Harper gets up to, read this book.

The Cold Case Club has made their own plans to go and spend some time at a bed and breakfast close by. Harper Kagel thinks that this is a great idea and she is really looking forward to spending some time in luxury.

She is completely ready to relax after taking the time to solve a mystery in the family that almost led to her demise. Harper is enticed by promises of the chance to lounge by the pool, which starts to give way to putting on her sleuth hat, much to her dismay.

A murder going down in their own backyard means that they have once again encountered the chance to solve a mystery. The group was supposed to spend their days in luxury and relaxing, but now they have a case right in front of them, and they can’t turn it down.

Always up for a challenge, the Cold Case Club is now working on a case that is very, very hot. They know that if they put their heads to it that they can catch a killer. But they have to have a little bit of luck on their side if they really want to close this case.

Harper goes back home, but she’s starting to pick up on her ancestors helping her. She wonders what they would want to tell her, and whether it would start causing a divide between her ex and herself. This is the second book in the Prediction: Murder series by Vickie Carroll.

Pick up a copy of this book to see whether the club can catch a killer or have their work cut out for them, and whether one of them will end up being the killer’s next victim.
