The main character in this book is Doctor Neal Anson Clemons. He is an expert when it comes to martial arts as well as being a highly intelligent physicist. He happened to be born the same moment that the historic event happened of men landing on the moon. Knowing this as he grew up, he has always dreamed of finding a pathway to get to the stars.
Now it appears that all of his work with his team has paid off. They’ve now gotten to a point where they are breaking through to results for building as well as a warp drive. They’ve also discovered a new source of energy that has enough power to make their warp drive potentially something much more real than just an idea.
He’s also gotten some help when it comes to getting funding for this project. This is thanks in part to Tabitha Ames, a beautiful woman who happens to be an astronaut as well as an Air Force Major. Now the United States government has offered up cash for them to go ahead with this project. This includes assembly, well in the orbital range of the first ever probe that would be faster than light.
The last thing that they anticipate is for opposing forces to be working against them secretly. They do not share the vision of scientific achievement and peace and go about exploding a space shuttle, doing their best to kill Tabitha and Neal, and try to steal the warp tech so that they can kick off a war with America that they would expect to be won quickly and easily.
What they don’t know is that Neal also has his own thoughts. He has his own plans when it comes to how the warp drive will be used, and his enemies have no idea. He wanted to get to the stars. Now holding off an attack is just the start of his journey. Will he be able to keep these forces at bay? Check out the first book in the Warp Speed series to find out!
The Quantum Connection is the exciting second novel in the Warp Speed series.
The main character in this story is Steven Montana. He’s great with computers and hacking. He was in Ohio at college when it started happening. The world meteor swarm affected America, Europe, and his Californian hometown. As a result, his family and friends are dead.
Deeply depressed, Steven leaves college and works in a video game store as a repairman. He fixed an old video game, prompting the game’s owner to offer him a government job. This involved getting through computer codes as well as taking hardware and reverse-engineering it. He aced his hardware examination test and gets questioned with his boss in a secret meeting.
Eventually he finds out that the meteors were not meteors at all but a brief war between America and its foes thanks to warp drive tech. The United States has also been sending ships to star systems that are faster than light. Also, aliens not friendly to the planet were watching the Earth, and the spaceships were shooting at intruders.
When Steven is abducted by aliens and is on a ship near Saturn, he has to avoid being a lab experiment. Can he get away? Read this book to find out!
