Early and Personal Life

Toby Neighbors was always drawn to stories, starting from a young age. Even when he was a kid, he cherished trips to the library and the local bookstores in the mall. He read classic fantasy and science-fiction authors like Edgar Rice Burrows and Robert Jordan. Later on, in college, Toby discovered he had a knack for writing and began honing his craft.

He was lucky to find his soul mate and the love of his life. His wife serves as his cover designer, success coach, workout partner, and muse. He wears his love for her on his sleeve, literally, with her name tattooed on his arm. Together, they have four kids and live in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho.

Writing Career

Toby Neighbors has been a writer for many years, beginning his career by reading Tarzan novels by Edgar Rice Burrows and stories by Robert Jordan and Steve Perry. He soon realized that his love of stories had grown into a natural writing ability, which he worked to develop over the next decade. In 2007, Toby wrote his debut novel, Third Prince, a fantasy adventure. This was followed by the first volume of his epic fantasy Five Kingdoms series, Wizard Rising, which was released in December 2011.

Toby dedicated himself to writing full time in 2012, relocating his family to the Northern Rockies. Over the course of the next eight years, his stories branched out into both science fiction and modern day crime thrillers.

His work gained a lot of attention and a dedicated fanbase of readers. In addition, Toby also began to explore screen writing, aiming to bring his stories to the big and small screens. He continues to write books to this day, and is actively working to make his stories come alive on the screen.

On August 13, 2019, the science-fiction novel ‘Gravity Flux’ was released. It was published by Mythic Adventure Publishing and is part of the ‘Kestrel Class Saga’ series. Once again, it is recommended to read the series in order to experience the story in its entirety.
