Author Therese Beharrie has always dreamed of becoming an author. It was only when the corporate world was looming during her final year of university that she actually realized just how soon she wanted to make this dream a reality.

It was here that she got serious about her writing, and entered into the Harlequin “So You Think You Can Write” contest, which caught the attention of an editor. The first time she entered, she placed in the top 25, and got feedback on her entry from the Harlequin Romance team on what she submitted.

The second entry she submitted didn’t make it to the top 55, her belief that the competition would help make her a published author started to waver. She planned on her next step, and tried to come up with more traditional submission processes and started to look at other publishers, reluctantly. Before she was able to start, she got a request for her full manuscript from the editor of the Harlequin Romance line, Flo Nicoll.

The story turned out to not be something Harlequin romance was looking for, but Flo was looking to talk to her about what it could become. For Therese, it was the start of an amazing experience. Working with an editor that respected the vision she had for all her characters, helped her story get stronger and Therese found herself becoming a better writer with each set of revisions she did.

Now she pens novels she would like to see in the world that feature people that look like herself for a living.

When she is not writing, she spends time with her dogs and her husband in Cape Town, Africa.

Therese writes the “Conveniently Wed, Royally Bound” series, the “Billionaires for Heiresses” series, and the “One Day to Forever” series, as well as some stand alone novels. Her work is from the romance genre.

Caledon, South Africa is just supposed to be a stop on the way to Cape Town for Christmas, which is part of Angie’s long-avoided homecoming. She never thought she would star in a strange comedy of errors, but her she is anyway: convincing some handsome stranger into being her fake boyfriend for the day.

The handsome stranger in question, named Ezra Johnson, winds up being a pleasant distraction from both the thoughts of her first family Christmas without her dad and the wedding. He appears to hate weddings about as much as her. He is a great temporary companion.

There is a lot that can happen in a span of twenty-four hours, including a connection so powerful that it tempts both of them into thinking about something much more permanent.

“One Day to Fall” is the second novel in the “One Day to Forever” series and was released in the year 2019. Out of all the taxis in Cape Town, Sophia Roux just had to make her way into his. She should be great at her sister’s bedside, waiting for the arrival of the newest member of the family. The thought of spending hours at the hospital with her own suffocating relatives makes Sophia hail the very first taxi she comes across. Only to find too late that the guy behind the wheel of her getaway car is the most unpleasant guy that she has ever had the misfortune to meet.

Parker Jones, the surly yet handsome driver, has grown accustomed to dealing with family baggage. It just so happens he is need of a temporary escape from his family. Witty banter with a gorgeous yet exasperating woman while he drives her around the city on a beautiful day in spring makes for a rather ideal break from his own reality.

A bunch can happen in a day. Families can reconnect, and babies can be born. Possibly a most unlikely of pairs can fall in love with each other.

“One Last Chance” is the third novel in the “One Day to Forever” series and was released in the year 2020. Out of all the charity events being held in Cape Town, Zoey Roux had to see her husband at this one. Zoey Roux married her best friend Sawyer in secret six years ago. All that did was just destroy the best relationship she had ever had in her entire life. They went their own separate ways, but Zoey never went through with a divorce. Bumping into him again at her sister’s charity event stuns her, but it is also enlightening. It is time to let the guy go, no matter how much she loves him.

Zoey was Sawyer Wilson’s first love. She broke his heart, yeah, but his feelings never actually died. Love was never an issue, but timing was. Seeing her again stunned him, too, as in a perfect world she would go running back into his arms. She asks him for a divorce, though.
