Tessonja Odette is a bestselling young adult fantasy and paranormal romance fiction author from Seattle. She is best known for writing novels about the feisty women and brooding fae royals that fall for them.
Odette has said that she has always had an obsession with Edwardian and Regency-era fiction; from the banter, the manners, the dresses, and the dances.

She has also dabbled in Victorian-era fiction, as she loves exploring the exciting developments in freedoms for women and technology from the era.

Tessonja also gets some of her inspiration from books and movies about unique fantasy worlds, elemental magic, and a multitude of magical creatures.
She published “Shadows of Lela,” her first novel and debut of the “Lela Trilogy” in 2018 and has been writing since.
In addition to her many works of fiction, she is a creative person with a lot of artistic hobbies, since she believes it is critical to follow what one finds joy in doing.

Growing up, Tessonja Odette always desired to grow up and become a published author, particularly when she penned her first novel at 18. But like most of her drafts, it was not good enough for publication at the time,
Since she never realized that this was normal, she stepped back from her dreams as she felt discouraged heading into the minefield of her twenties.

Even though she continued writing and working on improving and revising that first manuscript, her doubt only continued to grow.

However, like many heroine journeys, she reached a point where she needed to make a decision on whether she wanted to become an author or not. Ultimately, she decided that she was not going to let fear and self-doubt hold her back anymore.
Even though that does seem very heroic, it was more of a slow dance as she slowly crawled forward.

Even now with several published novels to her name, she is yet to banish her cycles of joy, self-doubt, elation, anxiety, and the not-so-proud and very proud moments in between.
She now loves sharing her stories with her readers and writing is a dream come true.

For Tessonja Odette, writing is something that she loves to do early in the morning since she is a morning person. Once the distractions begin, she finds it particularly hard to write but she has no problem getting up early and writing.
Her average day usually involves getting up at six to feed her pets and get a chocolate chip protein bar with some tea. She will then write till noon and sometimes a bit later or switch to admin tasks.
When she is not writing her novels, she can usually be found having dance parties with her daughter, watching K-dramas with her husband, petting animals, and reading.

She also happens to be quite the musician and artist and once upon a time used to sing in bands and write songs. She still plays the ukulele and does some art whenever she can.
