Steve Gilmore is a successful published author.
He is from Acushnet, Massachusetts, a rural town in New England. He has spent much of his grown life living in the southern United States, as a part of his time spent in the Army as well as different adventures as being a civilian.
He went back to Massachusetts for some time but then decided that it was time to pursue life in warmer climates. Now he has moved to Northwest Florida. There he lives along with his wife, their two kids, and a pair of dogs.
Steve attended West Point and graduated and today is writing, making good use of an active imagination and his proclivity for anti-heroes with a bit of snark.
He writes adventure novels in the urban fantasy genre that usually incorporate a bit of apocryphal lore, military grit, and dialogue that is designed to make you laugh. He has readers from all over the world that enjoy his books. If you like works from authors such as Steve McHugh, Kevin Hearn, or Jim Butcher, you might like Steve Gilmore’s books.

The main character of Dean Robinson in this book is a man that used to be a soldier. But then things changed up for him when a fallen angel with a great wardrobe and the thought that he’s God tried to kill him– and was successful.
Once he was a soldier, but now he is no longer an angel and has instead become something else. He’s still not human anymore, either. Now Dean has to find out who he is all while becoming part of the battle that is going on between the heavens and earth and is being conducted in the shadows.
Dean has a new group of angels on his side and together they may just be able to get something accomplished. The thing that they don’t yet realize is that the group might just be the only thing that is left to stand between a bunch of otherworldly giants and mankind being taken over completely.
It’s a big responsibility, but someone has to do it. A grudge match in heaven that is being played out on the stage of Earth– what could go wrong? With super soldiers from above that are partially divine, bad guys that are larger than ever that are consuming diets of high protein, and more, this is going to be a battle for the ages. Just who will come out on top? Read the first book in Steve Gilmore’s Heaven’s Dark Soldiers series to find out!
Wrath of the Fallen is the second book in the Heaven’s Dark Soldiers series by Steve Gilmore. Looking for something new to read, or read the first book in the series and have to find out what happens next? Pick up a copy of this book and give it a try!
The giants are coming to power, and as with everything, you find the Devil in the details. Dean Robinson is back, and the main character is having a horrible day. He’s not exactly happy about this because his bad days have come with apocalyptic aspects to them, and he also happens to be the last member of a group of super soldiers who are semi-divine who have been cursed and blessed with the wrath of God.
It only makes sense to be wary of bad days in Dean’s opinion. But he has to admit that things are not going well. He has been watching himself commit failure after failure. The latest one was his inability to stop the resurgence of the Nephilim giants, which had already been prophesied.
Now Dean along with his other friends from the Seventh Realm are going to have to stand on the sidelines and watch as their adversaries start taking out their mayhem all around them in the world. Usually they are able to do something, but this time around they seem utterly overwhelmed by everything that is happening and are realizing perhaps for the first time that they are outranked.
He knows somewhere in his mind that the mission he has before him is nearly impossible. There are all types of obstacles to face, such as the beasts with mind-warping capabilities, celestial beings with a tendency to be overzealous, bounty hunters, and all types of strange drinking establishments.
Dean is also in the middle of the race to track down a singular thing that might just be able to save everyone from the apocalypse. It always seems like there are these mythical objects that promise to solve everything, but Dean has it on good authority that this one is real and that it’s out there. But he also finds out that when it comes to the future, the one thing that might be able to protect it is located in the past.
That makes perfect sense to him, but the question is, how is he going to get back to it? Dean has his work cut out for him this time, and he’s got to do everything that he can if he is going to succeed in this mission and once again save the world. If he doesn’t go all out this time, there’s a good chance that he is going to fail completely.
Can he do it and will he be successful at last? Or is Dean about to find out that some tasks are just too great for one individual to accomplish? You are going to have to read this book for yourself! Pick up the exciting second novel in the Heaven’s Dark Soldiers series by Steve Gilmore and see why people are calling this book ‘funny as hell’ and a combination of action, intrigue and humor that makes it an enjoyable read.
