Sean Sweeney is an American thriller, mystery and fantasy author who has written a good number of fiction novels and novellas. His passion for writing started in high school when Sweeney began to write for the local newspaper. He went on to work with a few TV and radio stations before he started writing full-time. Model Agent
Model Agent features Jaclyn Johnson, a talented young CIA agent 100% dedicated to her country. Aside from being highly effective in doing her job, Jaclyn also doubles as a model, hence her codename, Spashot. The story begins with a terrorist attack that leaves the authorities perplexed. The President sends Jaclyn to investigate the attack and help catch those involved in attacking the City Hall Plaza

Things turn ugly when Jaclyn partner dies right before the terrorist strikes again. As the details of the terror attack unravel, it becomes clear that Jaclyn is facing a man who has enough money to wipe out his competition completely. The death of her partner also puts Jaclyn on her toes as she knows that any wrong move could send her to her grave, and the terrorist will continue unabated. Fortunately, Jaclyn is well equipped to handle his kind despite her young age.
Snapshot is able to infiltrate the terrorist’s hidden installation thanks to her special car fitted with advanced gadgets and her detective skills. Her visit to the installation reveals a secret that could lead to a water shortage so bad that the world will be fighting for it. Jaclyn has to act quick not just to meet a deadline but to stop the terrorist before he causes more damage. The ending is explosive and unexpected, but what better way to end a thriller that leaves the reader with more questions than answers.
Model Agent is the story of a multi-talented CIA agent and her quest to catch a terrorist that leaves chaos in his wake. The female lead is talented, and despite her flaws, she is able to accomplish a task that many in the industry cannot. She often engages the President and the head of CIA, other strong women who make the list of this thriller’s main characters. The story is set in Boston and describes most of the landmarks that people who have visited this area can identify with. For baseball fans, you will also get to experience a game as the lead characters go through her investigative journey.
If you are looking for a fast-paced detective story that will leave you yearning for more, Model Agent is ideal. It will be hard not to fall in Jaclyn, a talented woman who does not let disability get in her way. The cast is quite exciting, and the unpredictable twists will have you turning to the following page to see what happens next. It helps that the story is beautifully written and the book flows from the beginning to the end. The team of strong women who are not cawed by the problematic situation is also a welcome break in a world filled with male role models.
Rogue Agent
Rogue Agent is the continuation of agent Jaclyn’s journey dealing with rogue individuals determined to cause harm to anyone who crosses their paths. Here, you will get to know Jaclyn more as she goes on a new adventure involving a terrorist who have killed thousands of people and there is no telling where on when the terrorist will strike next.
This book starts with the Summer Olympics of 2012 in London. Given the security measures put in place, this was anticipated to be the safest Olympic Games ever. How wrong the authorities were. A terrorist attack during a soccer tournament at the Wembly Stadium disrupted the peace and sent shockwaves across the country and beyond. An Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the terror attack and the two countries involved could not help but get prepared in case the terrorists attack again.
Great Britain and the United States set to search for the terrorist that killed thousands of people and bring them to justice. Outbound flights out of Heathrow and to Paris have been shut down so the terrorist may have a hard time getting out of the country. Fortunately, Flights into London have not been affected.
Given agent Jaclyn’s prowess when it comes to catching the bad guys, the President sends her on a mission to capture the people responsible for the attack. What follows in a thrilling journey of a near-death experience as Snapshot, works to find and capture the terrorist. Her journey will without a doubt push her beyond her limits, and at some point, Jaclyn will be forced to go against everything she believes in and do something she never thought she would do in her career.
From his writing, it is easy to tell that Sweeney is a sports enthusiast. The details on football are detailed, and his choice of storyline goes to show his love for the game further. Aside from the thrill, this book offers a tour to the best that London has to offer. The story takes the reader on a journey to London through most of the notable landmarks.
This story is written from different viewpoints which make it more interesting. It is easy to understand the actions that Jaclyn took when she received information from the terrorist, law enforcement officers, and senior figures, among other characters. Most of the characters are strong women and this in addition to the cool gadgets, action, and the details on love and hate turns this into a real page-turner.
If you are looking for a thriller that is a bit different from the ordinary, the Rogue agent is ideal. The action is on another level, the characters are quite interesting, and the events are mostly unexpected. The brief on agent Jaclyn’s background and the way she does her job makes her an interesting character; you will be happy to know more about. This, coupled with the unexpected turns, and the author’s talent for storytelling, turns this into a great book to read whenever you need some action.
