Scott Blade is an American author from the Mississippi Gulf Coast who writes several series of mystery thrillers as spinoffs of the popular Jack Reacher series of novels by Lee Child. Scott Blade has always loved to write books and travel ever since he was only twelve years old. Right through from middle school until he was in college, he had written a number of characters and book plots. A lot of his works would later be taken up by other authors and made into bestsellers. He loves to live his life like popular characters like Jack Cameron and Jack Widow. A travel connoisseur, he has been wandering all over the world and has been to Eastern Europe, Asia and most of the North American continent. As a wandering writer, he loves adventure, good people, beautiful; places, freedom, guns and all manner of books. In his spare time he loves to play with roller blades, ride bikes run, and play hide and seek with Django his Black German Shepherd dog.
Scott Blade is an author and real life drifter in the mold of his characters NCIS agent Jack Widow and Jack Reacher’s son Jack Cameron. Blade’s novels have gone on to become bestselling titles on Amazon and made number 1 on Thriller and Mystery lists. He credits much of his success to the love of adventure which makes the plotting easier as he draws upon his variety of experiences with new places and people to write his novels. Growing up in Mississippi he loved the works of Lee Child particularly the Jack Reacher novels, which would later inspire his wanderlust. The wanderlust would later transform into an immense addiction for travel that is even more intense than that for coffee. He now walks the planet with a foldable toothbrush and Macbook, which he uses to document his many experiences that he turns into mysteries.
Scott Blade first got started writing his novels when he emailed Lee Child’s representatives at Random House asking for permission to write a spinoff of the Jack Reacher series. Random House emailed to give him permission to write his spinoff just as long as he made sure that Jack Reacher did not make an appearance anywhere in the book. He released his first novel Gone Forever in 2015 and surprised everyone included Random Child and Lee Child when the novel immediately rocketed to the top of bestselling lists. However Random House would dispute giving permission for the book and retracted their earlier permission. However, Blade had the law on his side and the only thing the publishers could claim was that some of the covers were too similar to the Jack Reacher works. He decided to change the name of the series calling it by the alternate name of Get Reacher or Jack Cameron series. He gave the lead character a new name explaining that while he was Jack Reacher’s son he was named Jack Cameron as his mother wanted to protect him from his father’s enemies. The novels can now be called either the Jack Cameron or Get Jack Reacher series.
After several years writing the bestselling Get Reacher series of novels, Scott decided to shift gears and write another series. As a huge Jack Reacher fan, it came as a surprise to many people why he would decide to stop writing the Jack Cameron books. Just like his favorite writer Lee Child, his creativity was stifled by his publishers’ who he felt were not good for the novels. He always had a hard time trying to satisfy his publishers whenever he came out with a new draft for the Cameron books. The debut novel of the Jack Widow series of novels was Gone Cold was first published in 2016 and went on to become just as successful as the Jack Cameron works. Jack Widow is an ex NCIS officer with a deep past. He used to work undercover in the company of Black Ops, and US Navy SEALs investigating crimes involving some of the most dangerous persons in the world. He left the intelligence services after one of his cases had a murderer come too close to home. He is now just a drifter in the mold of Jack Reacher working on a range of mysterious crimes across the globe. Most of the qualities of Jack Cameron are still in Jack Widow though he comes with more believable skills, backstory and the intelligence of age.
Gone Forever the first novel in the series opens following the events of “The Affair” in which Jack Reacher had been sent to a small town to investigate a crime. In typical fashion, he had found the bad guys and left behind a beautiful woman. But unlike other times, he left behind a son. The son grows up and learns upon his mother’s death that his father was a drifter known as Jack Reacher. Armed with the indomitable genes and the unrelenting and tough love upbringing of his mother, Cameron sets out to Get Jack Reacher. To know his father, he finds himself following in his footsteps as he tracks down the elusive Jack Reacher, who does not even know that he has a son. His quest to reunite with his father sees him stumble into a deadly secret in a small town where a man is left distraught after his wife went missing. Like his father, the need for justice is the mission that drives Cameron.
Winter Territory the second novel of the series opens to Cameron still on the quest to get Jack Reacher. Alone and an orphan he soon gets himself embroiled in a deep conspiracy that spans from the mountains of Wyoming right to the most secretive agencies in Washington. Alex Shepard is a CIA agent who works deep in the Wyoming countryside in the winter. A few days ago, he had sent one of his subordinates to the Red Rain Indian Reservation as an undercover operative. But when the man does not turn up hours after he was supposed to, Shepard is worried that something has gone wrong. Shepard’s operation is now in peril given that a major blizzard is on the way. Lives are on the line, he has no time to waste and he thinks his agent may be dead. Cameron Reacher steps into the picture to offer hope of recovering the agent and stopping one of the largest terrorist plots in the state. Cameron has to deal with a hidden enemy, a beautiful tribal police officer and the harsh winter precipitation.

Absolutely hooked on your Jack Widow series. Very well written. Have finished Book 11 and will start The Standoff as soon as I post this message to you. Congratulations on a successful series.
have just found a post for your latest book and, as soon as get book 1, will be a fan. I love Lee Child and am up to date with Reacher. During our ridiculously long lockdown last year, was introduced to Daniel Silva’s and Gregg Hurwitz’s thrillers. Now I’ve got a new series to catch up on.
