Medicine Man is the first book in the Heartstone series of books by Saffron A. Kent. This is the debut in the series but it is also a stand alone book! Read on if you love a good romance.

Willow Taylor is the main character in this story. She resides in a castle that has huge walls and fences of iron. But while it may appear simple, this castle is not ordinary at all. It is a psychiatric hospital, in case you couldn’t tell from the outside.

It’s called Heartstone Psychiatric Hospital and it has forty other patients living there. It also has a staff of nurses that walk around with mean faces on and techs that are always frowning.

There is also a man there, one who is distant and cold. His voice has tons of authority, and his gray eyes not only pierce but hide away secrets. There’s also a man there who looks at her face for so long.

The man is Simon Blackwood. Willow knows that she should not look into the eyes deeply. She should not be attempting to try and read all of his emotions. She shouldn’t touch her own body when the night comes, picturing his gorgeous but cold face and his voice.

She knows that she should not be attracted to him and the biggest reason for that is that he is her psychiatrist. He’s also the medicine man. This book tackles issues of suicide and depression, so just be warned before picking this story up. Dreams of 18 is the second book in the Heartstone series of books by Saffron A. Kent. This is a unique romance series and is perhaps best for readers over eighteen due to content. It is also a stand alone novel and you do not have to have read the first book in this series to appreciate this story.
