Nerys Leigh
Nerys Leigh lives in a fairy tale castle with secret passageways, turrets, and sentient brooms that do the cleaning for her. But in reality, she just lives in a small Victorian house (without any original features) and her broom is resolutely inanimate, doesn’t even matter how much she sings to it. However reality is truly overrated anyway.
She writes books that are exciting, funny, and heartwarming, but most of all, wildly romantic, since that is what she loves reading. And Nerys adores a blissfully happy ending.
Nerys is British, however she suspects that she may be turning American slowly but surely as she writes her stories set in the Wild West that are filled with cowboys, mail order brides, and railroads. So sometimes, she will put a U into a word, just to see if is still able to, but she cannot do the accent.
“No One’s Bride” is the first novel in the “Escape to the West” series and was released in 2016. A mail order bride without any intention of marrying, and one young postmaster bound and determined to change her mind.
The year is 1870 and Amy Watts needs money, help, and to get as far from New York City as she is able to, and her one hope is to answer this ad for a mail order bride. The very last thing that she wants, though, is a husband.
Her plan to trick the postmaster of Green Hill Creek, the tiny California town, of paying her way across the country is bungled, her guilty conscience compels her to stick around and figure out a way to repay him the price of the train ticket. Problem is, she is totally unprepared for the effect that Adam Emerson’s wit, kindness, charm, and those ridiculously blue eyes of his.
While her dreams of a new life in San Francisco starts faltering and her past begins to catches up with her, can she hang onto the only thing she never believed she would want, however now she cannot even bear to lose?
Five mail order brides, one tiny town in California, and a lot of romance! This series tells the stories about five young ladies in 1870 that travel across the country to find love. This uplifting Christian romance is going to transport you back to a time of courageous women looking for a better life and the strong guys dedicating themselves to winning their hearts.
This story has so many twists and turns, compelling the reader to keep on reading until they had finished it. Both main characters are highly likable and charming.
“A Hope Unseen” is the second novel in the “Escape to the West” series and was released in 2017. Are really some things that even true love is unable to overcome?
Sara Worthling is determined that she will marry just for love, even if this means becoming a mail order bride and traveling all the way to the other side of the country to find it. After a long correspondence, once she meets farmer Daniel Raine finally she’s no doubt at all that she has made the call. Daniel is impossibly handsome, kind, strong, caring, and his deepest desire is to have a family and a wife to love. He is everything that Sara’s been dreaming of. Up until the accident.
When Daniel suffers this horrible injury which throw all of his careful plans in doubt, he sinks into despair, and also pushes his new bride and God away. Facing rejection from her husband and with a guy that she met on the train paying her some unwanted attention, she starts wondering if love is even enough to keep her dreams alive.
“The Blacksmith’s Heart” is the first novel in the “Back to the West” series and was released in 2017. Can true love strike twice in one lifetime?
Peter Johnson met the love of his life at the age of nineteen, but just three years later, she was gone, and he was left all alone to raise their son. Knowing that he’d never love another woman the way that he loved his wife.
However when a new doctor arrives in the town ten years later, bringing along with him his beautiful, opinionated, funny, and smart sister, desires that Peter had never dreamed he would feel again begin surfacing.
Malinda Wilson is fiercely independent, not wanting a husband. Which is good, seeing as how Peter doesn’t want a wife. He is almost certain of that.
“The Doctor’s Honor” is the second novel in the “Back to the West” series and was released in 2021. It is funny just how quickly life is able to get complicated.

Before he knows it, his sister’s promising Mei Ling their help and he is mounting these daring rescues and fighting to save their brother’s life. And falling for this woman that cannot ever be his.
Overnight, his life goes from very simple to quite complicated indeed. However it’s possible that Noah needed a little complicated in his life.
