Martha Bond is an accomplished published author.

She is the author of the character of Lottie Sprigg, who faithfully tackles mysteries with the help of her corgi Rosie. While her character is preoccupied doing that, she personally enjoys sitting by the fire with a mug of hot chocolate and a good book to enjoy.

Martha says that she enjoys writing mysteries and she enjoys reading them almost as much as she loves coming up with her own. There is something about a ‘whodunnit’ where nothing beats that puzzle!

The author says that she hopes readers will come along with Lottie on adventures that take her to cities like Paris, Milan, Venice, and more!

In addition to being the creator and the author of the Lottie Sprigg Travels Cozy Mystery series, Martha Bond is also the author of the Lottie Sprigg Country House Cozy Mystery series. She has also contributed to the collection Riddles, Resolutions and Revenge along with other authors.

Murder in Venice is the first book in the Lottie Sprigg Travels Cozy Mystery series of novels by Martha Bond. If you love a good cozy mystery, you will definitely want to check out this book!

There are tons of secrets out there, and plenty to spare when it comes to the City of Canals. The year is 1923, and Lottie Sprigg is just a regular maid. She’s a bit low on the totem pole, but things are about to pick up in her life when a wealthy heiress hires her.

All of a sudden, Lottie is going on a journey that is taking her all over Europe and other places besides that. Lottie thinks that she is in for different adventures and a chance to see the sights. The last thing that she thought that she would encounter is murder.

While in Venice, Lottie meets a famous opera singer and becomes friends with him when she is able to get his lost dog back to him. The next morning, tragedy strikes out of nowhere as the dead body of the singer is found in the Grand Canal.

There are likely plenty of people who might have had a reason to dislike the opera singer, but who among them hated the singer enough to want them dead? Lottie has no idea, but she wants to find out who did this or what happened so that she can at least bring justice to the owner of that poor dog, who now is left without his beloved human companion.

She has been looking at various people, but one suspect in particular stands out. A character who is moving over bridges and streets at night and sticking to the shadows might just be the person that she is looking for. Lottie wants to figure out who it is so that she can get to the bottom of this murder once and for all.

When a masked ball ends up proving to be the site of a second murder, Lottie thinks that she knows who is responsible. However, a new discovery comes along with a twist and before she knows it, Lottie is part of a chase all through the canals of Venice.

The police in Venice don’t know who the killer could be and aren’t coming up with ideas anytime soon. It’s clearly up to Lottie to find the killer and pull the mask off, revealing who is responsible and putting them away for good. Can she do better than the professionals and at least bring some sense of justice to the murder of her newfound friend? Or is she in way over her head? Read this novel to find out!

Murder in Paris is the second book in the Lottie Sprigg Travels Cozy Mystery series of novels by Martha Bond. If you like mysteries or have read the first book in this series already and really like it, then be sure to check this story out!

This is the story of murder and mischief, all taking place in the city of Paris. Main character Lottie Sprigg returns again and readers will be happy to see their favorite investigator back on the case, trying to find some answers.

Lottie is a companion for traveling to an heiress with money, and suddenly becomes part of high society once she arrives in Paris. However, the Lenoir family is hosting a dinner party that suddenly goes wrong when a body is found in the drawing room.

Nobody was expecting it, but suddenly everyone has found themselves in the middle of a murder. Now they have to figure out who did it. Lottie has seen some clues and is also trying to work on her sleuthing skills, so it only makes sense to take on this case.

Lottie is trying to figure out whether she can get anything out of these conversations that she has overheard and the lies that she has been told. She also has Rosie, her trusty dog, to help her out while tackling this case and for providing emotional support.

The local delivery boy is also on her side, so she has a steady team helping her get things done and sift through the clues. However, things threaten to come apart completely as a second body is discovered. All of her carefully crafted theories start to fall apart in the wake of this new development.

There is so much going on and there is very little time to consider all of the information and to try and take down a killer. Then a bike chase as well as a venture to the Pere Lachaise cemetery make the case even more complicated.

Lottie is even more concerned when she gets a horrible warning that is telling her to keep away from all of this and to stay out of it. Will she be able to get to the bottom of a secret, or will someone out there have too much to lose to allow her to do so? With increasing pressure, Lottie has to decide whether she continues with the case or whether she walks away. What will she choose? Read the second book in this series to find out!
