Another busy month for me. A lot of work which takes precedence especially when it involves Book Notification. That site just gets bigger and bigger and is just hitting the 70,000 author mark.

Which is incredible but the more authors, the more work required as the more new books come in etc. But I love having the best book website out there when it comes to author lists, and being able to provide an unmatched accuracy.

Right – what DID I read in February? Let’s see:

The Crash by Freida McFadden: Another one by Freida that I unfortunately didn’t like. I think the real issue I had with the book was due to one character. They came to a conclusion early, which we, the reader, due to the narration of the book knew was incorrect. But they kept up with that thought process throughout the book.

So we’re meant to cheer on this character, but instead you’re basically sitting there thinking they are an idiot, and frustrated at how they refuse to even consider other options. I think that was the reason I felt so negative about the book.

Missing In Flight by Audrey J. Cole: Standalone thriller about a woman on a plane with her baby – and the baby goes missing when she goes to the bathroom. Reminds me a lot of the movie Flightplan – the plot anyway. I’m not finished this one yet and it all depends if she – pardon the pun – lands the ending.

You Love Me by Caroline Kepnes: This is the third one in this series. There were definitely parts of this where I thought – is this sequel really necessary? But overall I really enjoyed it, and am looking forward to the fourth one. Does feel like the character is ready to run out of steam though so I’ll be happy to conclude the series.

Blood and Treachery by JD Kirk: The fourth novel in the DCI Logan series. Just such a great series featuring the Scottish detective DCI Logan, and highly recommended. Listen to it though as Angus Kirk takes it to another level.

Final Girls by Riley Sager: His debut novel, about three girls who survived different massacres, but years later one of them is killed and the surviving two get together. Really enjoyed this one.

I’m listening to Lock Every Door by Riley at the moment.
