Madeleine Roux is an American author of fiction. She was born in 1985 and is the writer of the Zombie and Asylum series (which are two different series). She is also the author of the House of Furies series of fiction. Her genre would definitely fall into thriller and maybe even horror. She is a bestselling author (thanks to her Asylum series and the other novels and series that followed suit).
Always interested in writing, Roux attended Beloit College and graduated in 2008 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Acting and Writing. At that time she proposed and then wrote and presented a historical fiction novel that was full length. That gave her the foundation to move on to other novels, which would make her an officially published author in print at last.
She started with the blog Allison Hewitt is trapped, which was an experimental fiction writing blog. The blog became popular and brought readers a unique experience in serial fiction. Eventually it was turned into a full novel and released for readers to enjoy. Three years after graduating after studying writing, Roux turned her serialized fiction into her first ever novel.
She was born in Minnesota and now resides in Seattle. She loves living and working in Washington and readers can expect to see more novels from this author to come! If you love the Zombie series, be sure to check out Roux’s other fictional series too.
She is the author of the Zombie series of fictional novels. The series kicked off in 2011 with the release of the first novel. It is titled Allison Hewitt is Trapped. The second novel came out shortly after in 2012 and is titled Sadie Walker is Stranded.
Allison Hewitt is Trapped is a unique zombie story that you will not soon forget. One woman is going to fight her way through the zombie apocalypse or she is going to die trying. The surprise twist is that she’s blogging it all the way. They must still have Internet access during this apocalypse, which comes in handy. The real question is, will people have enough time between fighting for survival to check it out?
Allison Hewitt is just your everyday girl. She happens to be at a bookstore with five of her colleagues when the zombie virus starts to spread and the outbreak starts for good. Allison reaches out to anyone who may be able to help, writing on her blog and her laptop and hooking them into the SNET– the official emergency wireless network of the military.
Allison thinks that this might just be a way to finally reach her mom at last, but the situation gradually starts to sink in: this is really bad. Now Ali is stuck fighting off the undead and recording her point of view and all of her adventures online in a digital blog for anyone to read. Her adventures are being written down and maybe they can even help someone along the way.
Allison joins up with her colleagues to take on zombies and more as they hit the road in risky adventure after risky adventure. You can’t always come out on top, but Allison and her friends are going to try. As they battle their way through zombies that want nothing more than to eat them alive, the group is going to have to do their best to take on monsters of all types in this crazy new world.
Can Allison and her gang survive, or will some of them fall along the way? Feel your heart pound as you take in every breathtaking moment in this serialized blog come to live from Madeleine Roux!
Sadie Walker is Stranded is the second novel in the Zombie series by thriller author extraordinaire Madeleine Roux. We move on from Allison to a new main character in this story. As you may have guessed, the main character is Sadie Walker.
Just like every other person on the planet Earth, Sadie is fighting for survival. But try as she might, the dead are doing their very best and gradually closing in on her. It’s been a long few months and ever since the zombie outbreak started, the city of Seattle has walled itself up. The city is like a fortress and it works for now. The zombies are kept out and the survivors are doing what they can to stay alive.
However, Seattle is now full of strange occurrences and danger. There’s tons of crime, and now the black market and cults are starting to pop up and be very visible. The wall is the only thing keeping the monsters out, but the longer that people are going to be trapped inside the city, the more it is guaranteed that all of the supplies are going to run out. They are all going to have to leave at some point, but for right now, there are too many zombies to safely try to get out.
As it turns out, everything is also about to get a whole lot worse. People have been growing frustrated and tensions have been steadily rising. A group that call themselves the Repopulationists take action one day and part of the wall is successfully destroyed. Just like that, the infected start getting into the city and taking it by storm.
Things aren’t going well for Sadie even as all of this chaos is breaking out. She must do what she can to get her nephew back– but she’s going to have to find him first. Not so easy when he’s been kidnapped. Not knowing what to do, Sadie must find out a way to track down her missing young nephew and flee the city before it is completely taken over by the zombies– or in the worst case scenario, where they are turned into zombies themselves.
The only problem is that the only way out of Seattle might just be by sea. When it comes to maritime travel, it doesn’t always go so well for the inexperienced. Will she take her chances, and can she find her kidnapped nephew? You will have to read this thrilling book by Madeleine Roux to find out for yourself!
