M.L. Wang is a published American author specializing in science fiction stories.
She is a martial artist and a self-described weird recluse who is somewhere in the state of Wisconsin spending time with Sulu, her parakeet with the maroon belly.
M.L. says that she likes nature documentaries and going for long walks in circles all around her room.
She wanted to be an author since the age of nine years old and here she is! She graduated from Knox College in 2015 with her Bachelor of the Arts in history and works in Madison at a martial arts school.
The Theonite series, her debut, was the result of something that started in middle school and continued with lots of research as well as learning different foreign languages, majoring in history, and studying with a West African oral traditionalist to bring these stories to life.
M.L. Wang created the Theonite series as well as the Theonite War series and a stand alone novel.
Planet Adyn is the first book in the Theonite series by M.L. Wang. If you love a good science fiction or fantasy story, be sure to check this one out!
Joan Messi is a girl who has figured out by now that she has supernatural powers. She has spent thirteen years of her life hiding her abilities from her classmates, parents, and the people in her community.
However, the world of secrets that she has built up ends up falling apart when strangers come from another dimension looking for a criminal. Joan has always wondered how she was able to get her powers, and she might finally have something that brings her close to getting an answer.
Daniel Thundyil and his father have been dealing with super villains with huge egos and elemental powers for a long time. However, they’ve never been brought to a parallel dimension on a mission before.
Daniel’s concern is now fitting in at school in a place where all the food has no taste, people write backwards in an old alphabet, and the racial hierarchies are different than what he is used to. Can they adapt to the mission and stay on track? Can Joan figure out why she got her powers? Read this sci-fi adventure story to find out!
Orbit is the second book in the Theonite series by M.L. Wang. If you liked the first story in this series then check out the second too!
This is a world where two black women holding spears were able to beat three white guys with guns, and a musician who was not even armed was able to beat them all. This is going to take a little while to get used to.
Joan and Daniel were lucky to get off of Earth alive. Now they’re trying to put together who Killer 31 is all while dodging security guards, family members, police, and figures in dark hoods.
Daniel had been taking on the Firebird mantle for a while and was intending on fighting the enemies of his father. However, he did not think that he would have to be doing that type of thing at thirteen years old while dodging bullets and spears.
Joan wanted to discover a world where she could still fit in despite having powers. But that really is not the case and being at the bottom of the racial hierarchy on Duna ends up being very painful, more than any alienation that she went through on Earth.
Joan and Daniel are going through something tough and they know that they are becoming Dakkabana space station’s most wanted people. Now they’re going to have to start some alliances with the unlikeliest of people.
This includes a Firebird fanboy, a painter with a friendly disposition, and a son from a powerful warrior family who is nothing but disappointing. Can these misfits band together and form some type of unified team, or are they destined to find out that they cannot outsmart their enemies or save Firebird? Read this compelling sci-fi story to find out!
