Lisa Manifold is an American author known for writing the Realm series, the Djinn Everlasting series, the Deadwood Sisters series, and the Oracle of Wynter series.

Manifold makes her home in Colorado after moving there later in life. She was a fan of fantasy, sci-fi, and romance since she was young when her father took her to Star Wars. She ended up becoming, in her words, a huge nerd. One of her hobbies is costuming and she often builds Steampunk costumes. She also enjoys wearing G Force cosplay.

Cursed by the Corpse is the first book in the Tales of a Midlife Mortician series. Jane Whitehaven is newly widowed and is left the the only funeral home in her area by her husband. She is called in the middle of the night to retrieve a body and it’s back to work before she has time to properly grieve her husband. She stepping into her husband’s job just a week after his death. She is still in the grieving process and struggling when things get worse as her first client is Victoria Jones, her old nemesis. The sheriff deemed her death an accident, but she thinks there is more to the story than that. Her suspicions are confirmed when Victoria’s ghost visits her to tell her that there is something sinister going on in their small town. Despite her feelings about Victoria when she was alive, Jane sets out on an investigation into what happened to Victoria. Her search will lead her to discovering a darker side of Montpier where covens battle and the town’s history is darker than imagined.

The Oracle of Wynter series begins with Hexes & Hot Flashes. The book begins as Wynter Chastain wakes up on the morning of her 45th birthday. It should be time for celebration, but she is still sad about losing her husband six months ago. Things get worse when she gets a phone call from her insurance agent that informs her that her husband had a second family and that family is getting the insurance payout for him. Wynter makes the decision to get away and meets a man named Ash who looks just like Indiana Jones. The two connect instantly, but shortly after he disappears and she now has a glowing snake tattoo that is talking to her about a hex that is going to kill her. She returns home where she meets Logan who knows all about her tattoo and believes that she is a magical being sent to solve his problems. He knows more about what happened to her than she does so she agrees to help him in hopes of finding answers.

Hellborn is the first book in the Deadwood Sisters series. It’s been one hundred years since her granny made a deal with a demon that saw two souls sent to hell. The demon didn’t check the receipts and ended up taking the wrong souls. Now, the demon is looking to right their mistake and take her to Hell to fulfill the ancient contract. Granny is long gone and any descendant will do according the demon. Now, she must break the curse and kill the demon if she hopes to stay out of hell.

The Mostly Open Paranormal Investigative Agency series begins with Dark Pact. Deanna Holiday runs a detective agency in Venica, California that deals with unusual cases. She is used to that sort of thing as she is part of the Nightingale family of witches that appear in many of Manifold’s books. The clock is ticking on Deanna in this one as she only has five days to prove a former friend didn’t kill a vampire and find a mystical gun for a demon.

Dragon Lost is the first book in The Dragon Thief series. The story follows Aodan who is a master thief who can also turn into a dragon. He’s on the run with his best friend Margrite as they try to get away Caleb and his thugs. However, Caleb isn’t the only one after him as the evil Eilor also needs his skill to complete his life’s work.

Eamonn’s Tale is the first book in the The Aumahnee Prophecy series that Manifold wrote with Corinne O’Flynn. Eamonn the Lucky has achieved everything he’s ever wanted to in life and has now reached his ultimate goal as a member of the King’s Guard. The new role is going well until one day when he and his best friend are escorting a lady of the court when everything goes wrong. The incident leaves him relegated to a remote outpost and no chance to redeem himself or finding a new position. Then one day one of his Watchers doesn’t check in and he sets out to find him, opening him up a huge mystery that he never saw coming.

Three Wishes is the first book in the Heart Of The Djinn series. Tabitha is a lonely woman who has made a mess of her life. She gets a second chance at it when she is visited by a djinn who offers her three wishes. She will be able to go back and change her life, doing everything right this time around. She gets to go back in time three times which will then create three distinct realities. At the end, the djinn will be the one who decides where she will end up.

The Realm series begins with The Heart of the Goblin King. A human named Iris ends up in the realm of the Fae, Goblins, and Dragons. She’ll meet Brennan, a Fae who is the king of the Goblin Realm. There is an instant connection between the two, but they fight against it. Brennan has a lot going on as a sorcerer is raising an army against him and time is working against him to stop them. He believes Iris to be a spy for them and kidnaps her, but the two have a connection that doesn’t want to be denied.
