Early and Personal Life

From a young age, Ling Ling Huang had a great passion for music and was taught the violin by her mother Lilan Z. Huang. When she was 15, she was accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Music – since then, she’s achieved tremendous successes. At CIM, she studied under the world-renowned teacher Paul Kantor and was a winner at the concerto competition before performing Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto with the official CIM Orchestra.

Ms. Huang was also a part of the Ariadne String Quartet and secured the bronze medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2012.. Her Master of Music graduation was a stand-out event and she earned an exclusive commendation given for her exams from Susan McClary.

In her pursuit of ever greater success, Ms. Huang continued her studies at Rice University’s prestigious Shepherd School of Music. Having worked with Paul Kantor before, she was able to win the Concerto Competition and perform the Britten Violin Concerto with the school’s own Symphony. Furthermore, she used her various Artist Diploma projects to feature the different Beethoven Sonatas for Violin and Piano, the Beethoven Violin Concerto and to spread the joy of classical music to those experiencing homelessness in Houston through various shelters.

Music Career

Ling Ling Huang is a stellar example of individual accomplishment and artistic excellence. She has distinguished herself as an in-demand musician in numerous performances with world-renowned ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic, ProMusica Columbus, the Baltimore Symphony, the Oregon Symphony, Opera Columbus, and the Houston Symphony. During her time at Rice University, she was part of the Houston Symphony’s European tour. Additionally, she was appointed as the Concertmaster for the Houston Ballet Orchestra.

In her home base of New York, Huang has achieved remarkable recognition for her work. She is one of the recipients of a Grammy Award with the Experiential Orchestra, was featured in the soundtrack of Judas and the Black Messiah, and made appearances on The Tonight Show with Gunna and Metroboomin.
