Lauren E. Rico is an American author who has won awards for her work and is a classical music broadcaster. She also writes using the pen name L.E. Rico.
You can hear her on SiriusXM as well as radio stations that broadcast everywhere from Connecticut to New York City to Charlotte and Tampa. Lauren has also chosen to accompany travelers as they go all around the skies… but only as part of the airlines’ in-flight entertainment.
When she gets writers block, she uses dry erase markers and a whiteboard to brainstorm the topic, moving from the topic/problem/character in the middle outward and attaches ideas with spokes.
Lauren is constantly typing on her computer or speaking on the radio. When she is not busy doing that, she likes to go all around the house with her husband and their dog (Tom and Sandy, respectively).
Lauren has a great passion for classical music that has allowed her to put more life into great composers’ stories. She jumped into the literary world with the publication of Reverie, her erotic thriller that takes place with an international music competition as the backdrop. This became a trilogy that continued with Rhapsody and Requiem.
She then partnered with Entangled Publishing, LLC. She wrote Solo, the first of the romantic series Symphony Hall. Lauren also started the Whiskey Sisters series, which is a five book series that kicked off with the release of the book Blame It on the Bet.
One of her goals as an author is to bring the concept of classical music to an entirely new audience. This can be done by showing it in various steamy stories that pull the reader in and will have them turning page after page to find out what happens next! Perhaps they will even develop an appreciation and love for classical music and end up looking up some of the composers and the songs online to experience them for themselves.
Solo is the first book in the Symphony Hall series by Lauren E. Rico. If you have been searching for a steamy read that pulls you in and doesn’t let you go, check out this book!
Dr. Drew Markham is a professor who cannot stand one of his students, and it doesn’t even have anything to do with her. The grad student comes into the class and he immediately cannot stand her. Or those blue eyes, or that pristine skin. He knows that it probably has something to do with the fact that she looks just like the woman who happened to break his heart.
Katherine Brenner is never supposed to come into his life. As far as he’s concerned, they’re enemies and they don’t need to have anything to do with each other. But he can’t control the weather. When a blizzard erupts and Katherine’s car breaks down outside of his house, it’s sheer coincidence.
He invites her outside because he may not like her, but he cannot allow a woman, human being, and student to freeze outside. But when he sees how beautiful she looks illuminated by the firelight, he is blown away. He never would have kissed her except for that. Now he cannot get her out of his mind and is running out of excuses not to see her.
The professor cannot get her curves or her lips out of his mind. He knows why this won’t work, and shouldn’t work. She’s a student, he’s her professor. And on top of that, university policy forbids it. If the news of this gets out, the professor could stand to lose everything in his life. Will it all work out? Can they be together? Read this romance to find out!
Counterpoint is the second book in the Symphony Hall series by Lauren E. Rico. If you love romances or particularly liked the first romantic story in this series, give this book a try!
Main character Alexandria is a beautiful young woman and a great pianist. She is set up to become a superstar in the field of classical music. But then she falls apart in front of a lot of people all at her debut at Carnegie Hall. This could have a big impact on the rest of her career.
Then there is Nate, a pianist who was particularly talented and posed to become a great star. But then a horrible accident takes away nearly all and everyone he loves. Now both of the instrumentalists have been called to Texas to pursue study and healing.
Alex and Nate do not get along when they first meet, but sometimes that just means that they have an exceptional amount of chemistry. Like it or not, they have something more together than alone, and it could be something real.
They could be perfectly set up to be romantic partners, but when Alex’s father gets involved, the overbearing parent might end up taking out everything that they have worked for. They’re going to have to make some tough choices and in the end, their lives may end up changing forever.
Nate has to deal with the past and his guilt, while Alex has to deal with her future and whether she can pull it out of the grim place that it has settled into. They both were set up for bright futures, and now they find themselves contending with what they must do in order to keep going and find the paths that they want for themselves.
Can they rediscover the power that they had in their music? Can they find the courage that exists in their heart to try and get over the gap that is between them and come together at last? Find out whether these two musically gifted people are able to follow their hearts and live together in happiness or if they are going to end up alone and it was just not meant to be!
Pick up a copy of Counterpoint by Lauren E. Rico to find out what happens and catch all of the romance inside personally!
