Kevin Wignall is a popular novelist from Belgium, who has interests in writing mystery, crime fiction, thriller, and suspense stories. He has written a number of standalone mystery novels in his literary career, many of which are extremely successful. Author Wignall was born and brought up in Brussels. He developed an interest in reading and writing at a very young age. As Wignall’s father was an army servant, he was raised in the army background till the age of nine. When he grew older, Wignalld decided to move out for higher studies and look for work. He moved to a small town located on the west side of England and settled there. Wignall got himself enrolled at the Lancaster University and completed his graduation with a degree in International Relations and Politics. He was not involved in anything much on the work front. And when nothing interesting seemed to be coming his way, he decided to take his hobby of writing on a serious note.

As the days passed by, Wignall’s interest in writing grew even more and he began enjoying this work even more. The readers from different parts of the world read and appreciated his stories, and eventually motivated him to continue writing many more interesting books. In addition to writing under his original name, author Wignall also uses the pseudonym of K.J. Wignall for writing books in other genres. He has developed and maintains a personal website that he uses to interact with his fans and give out updates about the recent happenings in his career. Overall, Wignall is quite content and satisfied with whatever he has achieved so far as a novelist.

The debut book written by author Kevin Wignall in his writing career is entitled ‘The Hunter’s Prayer’. It was released by the Thomas and Mercer publication in the year 2015, after it was first released in 2004. The chief characters mentioned in the book’s plot by author Wignall include Ella Hatto, Lucas, and a few others. Author Wignall has done the plot’s setting in a town called Tuscan. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Ella Hatto is spending some relaxing time along with her boyfriend by sitting under the bright sun in Tuscan. The two are enjoying their drinks and discussing about their relationship and its future. With her boyfriend by her side, Ella Hatto feels that her life is all calm and beautiful. But, she is not aware of the fact that someone is keeping a close watch on her. Ella Hatto does not have any idea that something very shocking is about to take place in her life that she has never imagined. And as soon as that happens, her life is going to change forever.

After a short while, Ella Hatto is suddenly drawn into a deadly and dark world. This evil world has already taken the lives of her brother and her parents, and has now come to claim her. As the days pass by, Ella Hatto forcibly nears to facing the unbearable reality of the new life that has started to haunt her. The dreams and aspirations that Ella Hatto once had are long gone and now she doesn’t even think about them. And with all the changes happening so quickly, Ella gives the expectation and hope of a normal life. Her new reality requires Ella Hatto to be unforgiving and ruthless, if she wishes to survive the remaining days of life. After some time, Ella comes in contact with Lucas. He is a former hitman trying to escape from the painful past of his own. After knowing the story of Ella Hatto and everything that she has had to endure, Lucas agrees to help her get out of her miserable state. Lucas helps Ella tracks down the person responsible for bringing about the degradation of her life, an enemy whose existence she was not aware of. And once she gets her hands on him, she decides to punish him for every harm that he has caused her. Ella Hatto thinks about all the terrible crimes that she was forced to commit in order remain alive and goes on to have her vengeance.

Another mind blowing book that author Wignall has written is called ‘The Traitor’s Story’. This mystery/thriller book was also published by Thomas & Mercer in 2016. Wignall has introduced the central characters in this novel in the roles of Hailey Portman, Finn Harrington, etc. Besides these important characters, author Wignall has also mentioned some interesting secondary characters. The story is described as having taken place in the United States and Switzerland. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that Haily Portman is a 15 year old American girl, who disappears mysteriously in Switzerland. When her parents back in the US come to know of this devastating news, their world falls apart and they become too much worried about the safety of Hailey Portman. As they do not get any ideas about how to proceed forward, who to approach, and how to look for their teenage daughter, Hailey’s parents turn towards Finn Harrington, their next door neighbor, and seek his help.

Finn Harrigton seems to be a quiet person, who remains involved in his own little world and has very little interaction with others. He works as a historian and always keeps himself indulged in his work. However, just like many people in the community, Hailey Portman’s parents also believe in the rumor that Finn Harrington used to be a spy at one time in the past. They see a glimmer of hope and plead in front of Finn Harrington with desperation to help them find their missing daughter. Finn agrees and carries a small investigation of his own. He learns that this matter runs deeper than what the authorities have knowledge of, and so, he goes on to make some more enquiries and becomes fully involved in finding out what really happened with Hailey Portland.

Finn Harrington does not have much resources to rely on, so he is left with just depending on his instincts. He fears that his instincts might lead him in the wrong direction as he experienced on many occasions in the past. However, he decides to proceed in spite of this, as he is worried about the well-being of Hailey Portman. Later in his investigation, Finn Harrington learns that the disappearance of Hailey Portman is connected to the same tragic events that had ended his spying career 6 years ago. Thus, once again he is drawn back into the deadly world of criminals. This time, Finn Harrington has become deadlier himself and wants to make the culprits realize that he has neither forgotten nor forgiven any of them. Finn gets all set to make the culprits pay for their notorious criminal acts and bring back Hailey Portman to her parents safe and sound.
