Kate Douglas is one of the award winning authors from The United States, who is well known for writing books based on the romance, paranormal, and science & fiction genres. She is particularly very popular for writing her long running paranormal series called Wolf Tales. She always knew that she wanted to become a writer, but it took her some time to figure out how her career is going to shape up exactly. Initially, author Douglas started writing radio copies for a radio station in the country in the year 1972. Then she got involved in writing and illustrating a cartoon strip for educational purpose for the AMCA for several years. Douglas even worked as a newspaper reporter for some time for a weekly newspaper agency in her town. She used to cover everything from drug busts to school sports. And after going through all this, it was finally in the mid 1980s that author Douglas took the decision of writing her debut romance book. Following this, she submitted numerous novels and short stories to various publishing companies and many of them got rejected too. In the year 1998, author Douglas sold one of her books to an upcoming ebook publisher at a time when the idea of ebooks was starting up. However, it was finally after 20 years of writing her first romance that she was able to sign up with a publisher from New York. In 2006, the Kensington publishing company launched their imprint of Aphrodisia erotic romance, beginning with the Wolf Tales series written by author Douglas. This sexy paranormal novel series is about one of the lost races of shapeshifters. Author Douglas went on to contribute 22 books and short stories in this series. And with its success, she continued to write 3 other series for the Kensington Publishing before she moved to St Martin’s Press. Author Douglas has a couple of series lined up with her new publisher. In addition, she is also involved in writing the sequel series of Wolf Tales, which she has decided to publish independently.

Douglas has been married for more than 40 years. Her husband has always been very supportive throughout her career. They have 2 adult children and a total of 6 grandchildren. Her family lives in a small town known as Healdsburg, California, located in the heart of the scenic wine country of Sonoma County. Author Douglas intends to write many more stories and books in the coming days of her writing career. She keeps her readers updated through her personal website by giving them updates about the latest releases and recent happenings in her career. Currently, she is busy writing a shorter category erotic paranormal series based on werewolves called Feral Passions. It is set in a resort of the same name, which is built and taken care of by a male werewolf group. The werevolves try to find their mates, which seems to be a difficult task for them. Due to this, they opened the resort so that they can welcome them as guests and choose mates among them. The series also comprises of elements of humor, but the major portions deal with serious undertones, describing how a woman really feels beautiful. Author Douglas likes to hear from her readers. She loves to solve their queries and use their reviews and inputs to make her upcoming more interesting. The Wolf Tales series written by Kate Douglas is comprised of 12 novels and 10 novellas, which were released between the years 2006 and 2013. All the books in this series deal with an ancient, sensual shapeshifters’ race called Chanku. One of the initial books released in the series is entitled Wolf Tales II’. It was released in 2006 by Kensington. Author Douglas has set the plot in Oakland, California, United States. The story features the lead characters in the role of Tia Mason and Luc Stone. At the start of the story, Tia Mason in introduced as an alluring and experience young woman. She belongs to the heritage of the Chanku race, but is very naive. The job of introducing Tia Mason to the feral birthright and the thrilling rituals of the Chanku shapeshifters lies on the shoulders of Luc Stone. Luc himself is a Chanku. He is a special agent in the heir cadre called the Pack. And he sees Tia Mason as his perfect match as a mate. The attraction seems to be instant from both the sides and the thirst of both Tia and Luc is unquenchable. Along with moving Tia Mason to her destiny, Luc also prepares her for the introduction to his Pack. And by the time she will get through her test, Luc hopes that she will be able to successfully prove that she is an adventurous, willing, and a true Chanku. But, before this could happen, she will have to go through an explosive experience. And Luc does everything possible to prepare Tia for that ultimate experience.

Another well known book written by Douglas in the series is titled ‘Wolf Tales III’. It was published in 2007 and features the main leads as Shannon Murphy and Jacob Trent. Author Douglas has set this story in Portland, Maine. At the beginning, Shannon Murphy is shown as an aubrun haired and willowy woman. She has grown up disillusioned with many of her lovers. Now, she needs a new challenge and that she finds in the form of Jacob Trent. He is a gorgeous and tall man, who likes to do what he feels like doing. Shannon feels that he has a dangerous aura about him. The sensual movements of Jacob Trent and the touch of his lips on Shannon’s tends to ignite her deep passions. He knows that he is capable of having any woman that he wants, and he wishes to have Shannon. Previously, Jacob was disgraced and dispelled from his pack of Chanku for attempting to seduce the woman of his Alpha male. He thinks that there is no woman who could satisfy him completely, but Shannon seems to be a different one. There seems to be something in her that awakens Jacob’s most powerful hunger. Jacob knows wants his hot desires to get explored at any cost. He becomes indulged in having Shannon and he forgets he has been sent to protect her. He looks to pleasure her and at the same time ensure that she is safe from all troubles.
