I haven’t been reading as much as I wanted to lately. Unfortunately work got in the awy.

Probably for the best because it means I can remember the books more and they don’t all blend in together which can be bloody annoying.

I’ve been focusing on Gregg Hurwitz lately and continuing to read his books. I think I’d like to get done him and then move onto a new author and so on and so forth basically reading new authors constantly and finishing all of their books before starting a new one.

One thing I love about Hurwtiz is how his books start – they always start with a big impact right away.

I read The Survivor which starts with a guy called Nate – an ex-soldier who is suffering PTSD and is about to kill himself. So he goes to do it by throwing himself off the window ledge of a bank really high up – only for people to come in to rob the place.

Seening these armed men as they begin to shoot people his instincts take over and he hops off the ledge to kick some ass – and create a whole bunch of new problems for himself. This was an EXCELLENT book and one that when I got to a certain point I just decided not to go to sleep and just keep reaidng till it was done.

The other one I read was Don’t Look Back by Hurwitz. This was a great one as it takes place in Mexico and was fantastic – Hurwitz visited Mexico for it and you could tell due to the atmosphere and how great he was at capturing it.

At the end of the month I started The Kill Clause which is the first in a series of 4 books featuring Tim Rackley – also written by Gregg Hurwitz. Another excellent series of books it looks like – the first one has hooked me nad I read half of it in a day.

I also read Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. First time I’ve read this book and holy crap is it something. It really hooked me and I am looking forward to going back and reading more. I watched the most recent movie(starring the daughter from Mad Men) and boy was that poor – but it was cool having read the book first at least and I could see it play out.

If you remember I had read the Waywards Pines Trilogy by Blake Crouch. I ended up reading his entire Andrew Z. Thomas series which is Desert Places, Locked Doors, Bad Girl, Break You and Stirred. Wow – what a freaking series that is! Desert Places – the first book in the series – was absolutely incredible. The rest were okay but oh man was Desert Places amazing.

Also by Blake Crouch I read the book Abandon. It was okay.

Alright that’s all I read – what did you guys read?

Amazingly that is all I have read in the last couple of months.
