Judith Keim is an American author of fiction novels. She was born in Elmira, New York. She now resides in Idaho along with her husband and their pets.

She grew up where she was always reading books and around them and always ready to find new ones to read at the library. She enjoys writing novels now as a professional writer as well as writing books that focus on women that go through challenges that they did not expect– but rise to meet the occasion with a fair amount of courage and strength to try and overcome them.

Judith is a writer but she also finds time to hang her hat and do some work as a publisher! She has successfully self published many novels. She enjoys writing stories that warm the heart about individuals that find happiness and love in the end. She has incorporated many of the places that she has been to into her books and has created believable settings for characters that sometimes are influenced by people that she has met.

Judith Keim is the creator and author of the Fat Fridays Group series of novels. This fictional series kicked off in 2015 with the release of the debut novel in the series, which is of course titled Fat Fridays. The sequel came out shortly after in 2016 with the release of the sequel, appropriately titled Sassy Saturdays. The third book in the series makes it a trilogy. It came out in 2018 and is titled Secret Sundays.

Fat Fridays is the first novel in the series of the same name by author Judith Keim. If you have always wanted to read an uplifting and moving story about women coming together and sharing a sisterhood, then look no further! While these five women may have five different stories, they may all have in common one thing: their unwavering support for each other.

Sukie Skidmore is shocked when she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her. He has been engaged in fits of passion outside of their marriage with her workout instructor, and they have been doing way more than just Pilates together. Of course she is devastated, and it isn’t long before the affair becomes the talk of the town.

Sukie is determined to move on with her life and decides to file for divorce as their domestic troubles have spread like wildfire through this small town in Georgia. She hasn’t just lost her marriage, she has lost an entire life that they shared together. She can’t rely on the same friends that she had when she was married, either. In the blink of an eye, just about everything has changed.

Sukie honestly doesn’t know what to do and decides to stay at home and hide from the world. She doesn’t want to run into people she might know and get any pitying looks at the grocery store. However, her reclusive new life gets interrupted when Betsy extends an invitation to her to go out for a social gathering.

This sounds really nice and before she knows it, Sukie is agreeing to go out to the Fat Friday lunch with her neighbor. This is just a simple gathering where they all hang out and share some time together ordering whatever they would like off of the menu. Sitting there over sausage pizza, this is a time to hang out and pretend like whatever they are eating has no calories in it at all. Bring on the appetizers!

Sukie quickly finds that she has a lot of fun with these nice women. Who would have thought that she would have made three new friends so quickly? It’s all thanks to the efforts of her neighbor Betsy that she starts to get to know these ladies on their regular Friday luncheons. She knows that Betsy is widowed and feels that she has never experienced ‘true love’.

As for the other women, there’s Carol Ann. She is a sweet woman that wants to hold out on romance until she can find the ‘perfect’ man. Then there is Lynn, who is one big question mark that may be hiding a secret or two. The youngest out of them all is Tiffany, who is married but starting to wonder whether her marriage to a wealthy and prominent young man with a family name might have been a mistake.

They all are struggling to find their place, no matter where they are in their lives. When Sukie starts to move on from her marriage, the women are all there for her with their support and their gentle but wise advice. They are all trying to find happiness wherever they can, and Sukie is trying to embrace her new life and her new choices.

The group continues to meet up and have fun, but when shocking news is shared by one of the women, they may all find that they are at risk. Each of the group has their own personal reason for believing why they may be at risk. Are they just being paranoid, or are they right?

As the women navigate family circumstances, situations with their exes, broken hearts, new loves, and life in general, they know that the girls in this group will forever be there for them. No matter what happens, they will always have and share their Friday feasts, rain or shine. Sassy Saturdays is the second novel in Keim’s sisterhood series. This fun sequel focuses more on Tiffany. She’s trying to start her life and live more independently, thanks to her friends and her social group. She’s also got a new gig singing in the lounge on Saturdays and is enjoying moving on from her marriage.

She still loves her husband; when he dies and their daughter is born, Tiffany is overwhelmed. Can she be strong for her ex and her daughter? Can her friend group make it through what comes their way? Read this book to find out!

   I especially love the series’ that start with main characters like in The Beach House Hotel, Fat Fridays, and The Salty Key Inn and continue them through the series with new people added in sparingly.

   I am on the last of the salty inn books. First time I ever read your books.
   Love the series.
   I listen to them on audible since my eyes get tired fast.
   Will getting another series ready to listen too.
