Jonathan Moeller is one of the best science fiction and fantasy writers today. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, USA Moella accredits his writing to a class he took about the History of Rome and the Roman Civil War. The war tuned Rome from what can be described as a decaying Republic into the now great Empire headed by Caesar Augustus. That class inspired this renowned author to write war stories. Moeller started off as part of an online writer group writing short stories that captured attention of readers and went on to write some of the best selling fiction novels of all time. He turned the captivating short stories into an epic novel that has been rated highly by readers. Moeller describes his writing journey as a bumpy since the first book he wrote was an abrupt fail and he almost gave up but got to overcome his fears and sold more copies than he could have imagined. He wrote incredible books and is now a respected fiction writer with mind blowing stories to his name. Though fantasy some sections of these stories are easy to relate to other sections open your imagination to a world unknown. Worlds to Conquer

The struggle in the Battle of Pharsalus to an extent where Ceasar’s army came close to starving to death as they did not have supplies before fighting Pompey’s legions inspired Moeller to write a story based on war. In World to Conquer, a Chicago politician who is also running for Congress comes to an agreement with a renegade from a different world, a world characterized by a medieval level of technology. The politician agrees to provide guns which the renegade can utilize in taking over his world. In return, the politician would be taught magic that he could employ to win the upcoming Congressional race. The renegade is an evil wizard and the politician a greedy leader willing to use any means to reach a higher office. The blend of actions creates the spark of interest for all readers. Lord Marugon, is the last of the Warlocks while Thomas Wycliffe is the Congressman from Illinois.

In this fast-paced story guns, black magic and dark bargain shake down a nation that almost destroys the world. Thomas Wycliffe is a corrupt senator who employs black magic to rise to power. On the other hand, Carlisan is a medieval world while Marugon is the last of Warlocks and they together go through a horrific path of carnage. The war is tough as Marugon’s armies guns deceitfully provided by Wycliffe overpower the blessed swords held by Carlisan’s defenders. The intense suspense as the enemies overpower Carlisan’s defenders holds a degree of interest and you can only read more to find out how the story will unravel. A strategic blend of greed for power, astonishing conspiracies, despicable politicians, army with high tech mercenaries and to make the matters more intriguing dangerous villains all into astonishing dark territory make the action based thriller one of a kind. There are intense moments in the story as Wycliffe successfully becomes a powerful and influential Senator who now looks forward to becoming a president. The novel is a well articulated contemporary fantasy featuring Marugon who moves from his own world to Earth to make a dark bargain with a directionless graduate, Thomas Wycliffe. Moeller has an intriguingly delicious way of making the modern Earth and the fantastic medieval worlds overlap. The classic introduction of characters is simply incredible. The manner in which a fantasy world overcomes the sinister plots of an evil council warlock is inspiring. Intense suspense as the dangerous villain Marugon escapes justice will leave you at the end of your seat.

Child of the Ghosts

The story is about Caina Amalas an eight year old child who is mercilessly tortured by her devious mother. Caina is just a young child who is growing up hated for no just reason from the very person who should have loved her unconditionally. However, she finds comfort in the loving arms of her father Count Sebastien as well as in the world of books. But misery seems to follow Caina as certain events occur forcing her to face the wrath of her mother just for a showdown. Caina is overpowered as her darkest nightmares come true in the form of Maglarion. Maglarion is a necromancer who finds pleasure operation on either dead or alive human bodies. Caina’s encounter with Maglarion causes her to face devastating ghosts of the Emperor’s secret arsenal of assassins, warriors, spies among other vocations. Sorcerers, slavers among other unwanted people have devastated the society. Caina is inducted in the ghost training where she is expected to take a one year course to become part of a discreet organization made up of only a chosen quality of people. The ghosts have to have absolute resolve and work in clandestine conditions. This fast paced story immediately immerses a reader into the plot and sets them up for an excoriating ride of a story. The pace at which stories unravel allows the reader to be more familiar with the current events. The main character, Caina, is depicted as a child of aptitude determined to overcome the fears in her life in the face of horrific events and relentless enemies. The struggles that Caina faces keeps the reader intrigued in this roller coaster ride of a story.

Worlds to Conquer and Child of the Ghosts are both heart-pounding thrillers that explore humanity’s will to survive in the face of tragic moments. Both novels are fast paced and feature captivating stories with a degree of suspense that will leave you asking for more.
