Jenny Proctor is a historical romance and general romance fiction author. She was born in the Western North Carolina mountains, which is a place she still deems to be one of the most beautiful on Earth.
She had always wanted to become an author and at some point, she published her debut novel “The House at Rose Creek” in 2013 under the publishing house Covenant Communications.
Proctor would publish four more titles under the traditional publisher but ultimately decided to go the Indie way. She loved that with Indie publishing she could have total control over the ins and outs of writing and getting her books published.
Nonetheless, she asserts that indie publishing is a lot of work but she also finds it very adventurous in addition to not having anyone look over her shoulder while she writes her novels or does her marketing.
Before she became very successful as an author, she used to work a day job at Midnight Owl Editors as an editor. She is now a full-time author of romantic comedies and was the winner of the Contemporary Romance Whitney Award in 2016.
Following the massive success of “The House at Rose Creek,” she kicked on from there to become a prolific author.
Proctor now has more than twenty novels to her name across several single-standing novels, series, short stories, and novellas and contributions to series written by other authors.
While she loved living in North Carolina, Jenny Proctor recently moved to Charleston South Carolina, where she has embraced the heat in the low country.
She loves to spend a lot of time in the outdoors with Josh her husband, their children, and a constantly growing assortment of pets.
Sometimes, she just loves hanging out at home eating delicious food she did not prepare herself while lounging with her favorite book. Three of her eldest children are currently in college while the three youngest still live with them at home.
Most evenings, she can usually be found updating her website, and sometimes interacting with her fans on her social media profiles on Facebook and Instagram.
Jenny Proctor’s novel “How to Kiss Your Best Friend” tells the story of Kate and Brody, who have been best friends ever since they met.
He has loved her ever since he set eyes on her even though she only sees him as a friend. Even though he has no hope of ever making her his, his heart will not listen.
He resides in their hometown of Silver Springs, where he has made a life for himself teaching kayaking.
On her part, Kate is afflicted with wanderlust and after graduation, she backpacked with Preston her boyfriend from high school all across Europe. After breaking up with her boyfriend, she continued backpacking while working as a freelance travel writer.
When she comes back home to fix up her grandmother’s house and clear out her things, she thinks that there is something different about Brody.
She really likes the new him but believes she may not be enough for him and that she will certainly hurt him. But she cannot stay and is even more scared to lose their friendship.
Her parents’ failed marriage and relationship have made her doubt anything to do with love. But while cleaning out her grandma’s house she learns a lot about her parents and herself.
Brody knows it is now or never and he needs to ask Kate to stay or lose her forever.
Jenny Proctor’s “How to Kiss Your Grumpy Boss” is one very interesting romance fiction work that tells the story of Perry and Lila. Lila works for Perry and has had a crush on him ever since she set her eyes on him.
He is one of the Hawthorne brothers who are known for their wealth and influence and their chiseled jawlines. Perry Hawthorne is a grumpy fellow who needs an assistant to help him with work and as such he hires Lila for the job.
She is a single mother who has a son and she never intended to fall for the smoking hot but grumpy Perry. She needs to think about what is good for Jack her son and the divorced, humorless, and grumpy Perry is not giving good stepfather vibes.
A few weeks later, he promotes her to in-person assistant and soon enough, she learns that he is very good with her and with Jack too.
Nonetheless, she does not believe that her new love interest is ready to start a new relationship, given that he is just coming from a very messy divorce.
On her part, she is not sure that she is ready for a relationship as she had gone through a lot just before the death of her husband. However, the chemistry crackling between them might just change things.
Jenny Proctor’s “How to Kiss Your Enemy” asks how is it possible for the intense chemistry between two chefs to be as cold as liquid nitrogen and as hot as ghost pepper.
When Tatum Elliot arrives to take up her position as the woman in charge of the family events center, farm, and catering kitchen, Lennox does not trust her one bit.
But there is nothing he can do as like it or not, she will be a fixture in her kitchen for a long time. The worst thing is that she is unable to keep her hands off her parmesan.
It is not long before their old rivalry is once again flaring up and that is not the only thing flaming between them.
The one thing he cannot forget is that Tatum is Gordon Elliott’s daughter and he happens to be one of the most famous chefs in the United States.
He thinks that she should be in the city running the big restaurants not jostling with him at the Stonebrook Farm. He consoles himself that it is only a martyr of time before she walks away to go after the fortune and fame her father can offer.
But he is afraid that when she ultimately leaves, she may just take his heart with her.
