The eldest of the three is a valiant warrior-woman and is the rightful heir of the kingdom. The youngest among the princesses is the sweetest among the three and is deep love with her prince charming. The middle princess is named Andromeda, however, no one talks much about her. She is referred to as Andi and often likes to stay invisible from the sparkling light of the kingdom. Andi likes to enjoy the company of her horse and has the habit of blending into the shadows. She has no interest in attending the court of the kingdom. Soon, she comes across a strange man who likes to stay in the company of wolves and ravens. He is believed to rule the land of demons and shapeshifters. Andi thinks about the country as being a legend in itself. She wishes to rule the land and as a result, gets claimed by the ruler. Because of the decision, everything changes in no time as her father, who was considered to be a wise king till now begins to be seen as a strategic and suspicious warlord. Andi’s dead mother is called as a witch and a traitor by the Whispers and Andi, herself does not think of trusting her own instincts. She begins to see visions which force her body to rebel. It is believed that the time has come when Andi is required to learn about her true nature.
The second of the three novels of The Twelve Kingdoms series was published in the year 2014 by the Kensington publishing house. It was titled ‘The Tears of the Rose’. The sisters are the daughters of the high king of the kingdom and are motherless because of the death of their mother. As the eldest of the sisters is a warrior-woman and the heir of the kingdom, the middle one is shy and is under the influence of Witchy characters. The youngest Princess Amelia is quite beautiful than the other two. She also has a generous attitude. Ami met her Prince Charming on one day and moved along with him to his castle on the sea-cliffs, which is full of storms. She had hoped of spending the rest of her life as happily ever after along with her prince charming. However, life has something to offer her as her husband dies at the time of raging wars. In the meantime, her elder sister Andi has been influenced by the witch intuitions and has turned into a complete stranger by moving to a demon land. Ami comes to know that her father and the priests are telling lies and revealing secrets. Soon, a power begins to rise inside Ami which she does not recognize. This power allows her to use her beauty as a weapon and her charm as a deceiving tool. Before this, Ami has always been a kind, loving, sweet and a good princess, but the games of the Twelve Kingdoms have forced her to change accordingly. She is required to make a gambit of her own and must refrain herself from becoming a pawn as she is destined to become a queen and not a pawn.
