Publication Order of Standalone Novels

Rookie Privateer is the first novel in Privateer Tales series by Jamie McFarlane. When you are old enough to obtain dual citizenship (Earth-Mars) everything should be working out pretty well right? Not for a young lad, Hoffen. He is stranded on a mining asteroid known as Colony 40, busy assisting his father works out a claim that will never be of help to anyone. His good friend, Nick James life is running smoothly and destined for great things- he is set for life in James Rental business, and Hoffen has just found out that the girl he has known forever thinks that he is a great man now that she is departing for the Mars Naval Academy.

Liam also dreams of sailing beyond the moon to the stars and whenever he gets a chance he often jets into space wishing that he could be free of the asteroid that has claimed him. However, what Liam does not realize is that his fate is on the verge of changing everything.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice the parts of yourself to gain the stars and Liam soon realizes that while it is not easy to lose parts of yourself increasing the stars is something worthwhile.

He and his best friend Nick are about to discover what the real world has to offer, and through their journey, they end up meeting with some beautiful people along the way.

The first novel in the series majorly focuses on Liam, a young man who has spent his days in the asteroid colony. He lives with his mother and father, a man trying to make a living out of the asteroids. When everything is going smoothly for the family, their colony is attacked by pirates, but it is through Liam, Nick and Tabitha brevity that the colony is saved, but this comes at a more prominent cost to Liam as well-he loses a foot.

Liam has feelings for Tabitha, but it is unfortunate that she is leaving making it too late for anything between them to blossom. On a brighter side, Liam and his friend Nick manages to a prize, one that was left behind by the fleeing pirates’ one that helps them to become privateers as a way of getting revenge for the pirate attack and also as a way of aiding the navy.

Rookie Privateer is a detailed and intriguing series opener. The use of disabled protagonist is quite brilliant; it also showcases that even those who have disabilities are capable of achieving greatness in living. It is a story complete with, friendship, space pirates, sparking romance and some interesting interstellar themes.

Fool Me Once

Fool Me Once is the second novel in Privateer Tales series by Jamie McFarlane. The second installment introduces Celina Dontal, a young woman who has just escaped her captives (Alexander Boyarov and his team, members of the lethal Red Houzi Clan) after being held in captivity for 18 months. Her escape should have been the hard part, but unfortunately, it is just the beginning of trouble.

When she tries to contact her sister, Jenny, she gets shocking news, her sister, the only person she loved and lived for was missing, and no one knew about what had happened to her. A mention of a passage booked to the city of Puskar Stellar on Mars was the only clue that Celina discovered, but her sister is yet to respond to any of her messages either.

Celina has no friends on planet Mars and to make things much worse for her, Boyarov is on her trail and the only way he can redeem himself the Red Houzi is if he retrieves their ship and the prisoner (Celina). If there is to be any help for Jenny and Celina, then it will have to come from strangers, but Puskar Stellar is a vast city and finding someone who can be trusted is a very hard and risky. Fool Me Once even though the second novel in Privateer Tales, the series can be read as a standalone.

Buccaneers

Hotspur crew is in search of a new home, and if Nick James is right (often right), Tipperary solar system is bound to become one of the most lucrative and busiest trading centers in the galaxy. Even more interesting, the cloud-city of Leger Nuage is giving out free warehouse space for certified traders, and this is a deal that is too good just to let go.

However, the truth is that nothing is simple as it seems and just like earth’s old west, Tipperary system is a place full of promises where the Buccaneers prey on the vulnerable.

No one expects it to be easy either, but piracy; deceit and murder awaken the pioneering spirit in everyone. Only the strongest will survive to see prosperity, but the big question is, can Nick, Liam and the rest of his crew finally find a place they can call home?

Cutpurse

In the chaotic city of Nannandry, Priloe Sharpe’s life value is priced at what his pick-pocketing talents can buy him. The entire planet of Grünholtz has become a colonization failure and a playground for various gangs. The hope for a better life is next to zero until the day that off-worlders pay a visit to the planet with a strange piece of technology which Priloe skillfully steals.

In a race to save his life from those seeking him, he must first save his beloved sister and abandon the planet thus risking everything he knows for a new and better life in Léger Nuage.

Again the fans of Privateer Tales are once again introduced to the Tipperary Solar System where Liam and his crew plan to establish their new home, a place where they will embark on a new set of adventures. Cutpurse is fast-paced, engaging and provides background and bisecting storyline for the next novel in the series.

May I suggest that your tech guru make your lists printable? It would really help some of us avid readers who don’t really want to write down 30 or so titles—and I do read OTHER authors too………….
    God bless you and yours..

Hi Barey – we have it set up so that if you print via your browser, it should strip out everything except the lists and the bio. If it’s not working in your current web browser possibly try Chrome.
