JT Brannan is a bestselling author of mystery and thriller novels. He is best known for the “Mark Cole” the political thriller series, the “Colt Ryder” all action series, the “Origin” high concept thrillers and “John Lee” the action adventure series. The former bouncer and national karate champion is currently serving in the British Army reserves even as he writes on the side. For Brannan, writing is something that he wanted to do ever since he was about six. However, it was not until he was done with university that he started seriously thinking about it. He got a job and spent several months writing the novel but then left to go join the army. A year after he started his training at Sandhurst, he had to go into the rehabilitation platoon after sustaining an injury. With a lot of time on his hands, he decided to make a movie screenplay from what he had been writing all that time in the office. During his evenings and lunch times, he wrote several drafts and in less than six months he was done. But getting it published was not that easy as almost nobody was interested in screenplays.
Brannan went back to work and took on several other jobs even though he still had a yearning for writing. It was his wife that told him to send out part of a manuscript he had written to agents and see how it would go. He was very reluctant at first but she was very persuasive that he eventually relented. Elly Griffiths a crime writer friend of his introduced him to Ibabooks agent Luigi Bonomi, to whom he sent a synopsis and the first 30 pages. Luigi emailed back almost immediately asking for the rest. He only had 200 pages written but Luigi kindly agreed to be patient while he wrote a little more. When the two finally met in London, the agent agreed to represent him and started submitting the complete manuscript to publisher in the UK. Unfortunately, the climate had changed against straight action thrillers and he could not get anyone to bite. He would eventually publish the novel as an eBook on Amazon titled “Stop at Nothing” that would become the first of the very successful “Mark Cole” series. However, his biggest break came when he wrote and submitted the manuscript for “Origin,” which was very well received that world rights for the title were made for the novel by Headline Publishing before it was published. JT Brennan has more than thirty works in the “Mark Cole,” “Colt Ryder,” “John Lee,” “Maxwell Knight,” and the “Force One” series in addition to several single standing novels and a novella.
Growing up, JT Brennan’s favorite book was Eiji Yoshikawa’s “Musashi” that tells the story of Japan’s most famous Samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi that he read as a boy. He also read David Morrell’s “First Blood” which would become one of the most influential novels alongside Stephen King/Richard Bachman’s “The Running Man.” His novels including the first one “Stop at Nothing” were significantly inspired by these great novelists. Brennan was also a huge reader of the Tom Clancy novels and gleaned a lot about the techno thriller genre from one of the best. He loved the unforgettable characters, the worlds he created, the incredible research and the intelligent plots. JT also gets some inspiration from his time working as a nightclub doorman and karate champion, which helps in the crafting to the emotions, mindset and techniques of the violent scenes. He has said that while some of his novels can be a little over the top while some are more realistic, the emotions of the characters when dealing with violence remains the same given that they are drawn from personal experience. JT Brennan is now a full time writer and teacher of martial arts in Harrogate in England.

To protect his family and those that set him up, he goes on a killing spree across the world seeking vengeance. It is a story full of furious and fast action and Mark Cole does not pull his punches.
