Publication Order of Little Town Books

J.D. Nixon is a published independent Australian author.

Nixon has several ebooks that have been published through Smashwords. These include her book Heller and then Blood Ties, Heller’s Revenge, Blood Sport, Heller’s Girlfriend, Heller’s Punishment, and Blood Feud.

She loves to write her books and hopes that readers will have as much fun reading them as she did writing them.

J.D. lives in Australia in Queensland, which she says is beautiful. She began writing back in 2009, citing her reason for starting as wanting to do something creative. She began and has not stopped since then, never looking back!

She has two series that she has debuted. The first is the Heller series, which showcases the sometimes outlandish adventures of Tilly Chalmers, a security officer. It also showcases the interesting relationship that she has with her boss Heller, who is gorgeous, intense, and mysterious.

J.D. also wrote the Little Town series, which started off with Blood Ties, the first book. This is the story of Tess Fuller, a police officer who is trying to make her way through a vendetta with the Bycraft family, who are feral, and her boyfriend Jake. She wants to one day write a short story where the characters of Tilly and Heller encounter Tess and Finn and thinks it would be a fun story.

Blood Ties is the first book in the Little Town series by author J.D. Nixon. This book first came out in 2011 for readers to enjoy. If you are looking for something new to read, give this book a try!

The Bycrafts have been in Little Town for years upon years as far back as people can remember. They have always been a beautiful clan, and perhaps it is their beauty that makes them so arrogant. They’ve always been lawless and have menaced the small and isolated mountain settlement for generations. Their entire family has practically been a crime wave.

The women in the Bycraft family cannot be controlled, and the men are all known for being obsessive and violent. The kids can’t be contained at all either and with no one raising them they are all practically feral and you better avoid them if you can. But no one in the town has been through as much at the hands of this out of control family as the Fuller family.

Main character Tess Fuller has been through a horrible childhood and now has attracted aggression as a target for the Bycrafts. As a result, she has grown up with her fair share of scars and has always been wary of people. She also has her own self defense skills to protect herself with and if you see her then you know that there is more than a good chance that she is armed as she always has something on her to protect herself.

She did everything that she could to get out the first chance that she got, and she was able to get to the city the first chance she could. Tess’s father dying ends up calling her back to come back to her home town. She knows that she’s going to have to do something to support him, so she leaves behind a career that was taking off as a city cop to become the junior officer for the town and take up those duties.

The only problem is that her only coworker is a retiring sergeant who is beyond lazy and she also is stuck in the worst station in the state that has not nearly enough resources. On top of that, Tess is starting to wonder whether she is becoming lawless on her own as she tries to deal with the Bycrafts (who are of course hostile to the law or any attempts to rein them in).

Now she’s going to have to deal with the fact that Red Bycraft is now out on parole. He’s a new threatening presence around the town and Tess knows things are about to get complicated because of her relationship with Jake, his brother.

Tess also has a new sergeant on board named Finn Maguire. He doesn’t seem all that impressed with how she is taking the job on, but that’s okay. He hails from the city, and is taciturn, stubborn, and used to doing things strictly by the books. Tess is used to working on her own and doesn’t want to live as a subordinate again.

However, she starts to change her tune when she works with him a little more. At first she found him patronizing and someone that doesn’t respect what she can do or what she knows about the area, but he starts to grow on her when they have to collaborate to solve different mysteries that involve land fraud, a suitcase of cash and a peeping tom that likes older women.

Meanwhile, Tess is being sought out for a week of violence that only goes up. It may end up with a showdown between her and the Bycraft guys. Is she going to be able to get past this one? Can the Sarge get pas his differences with her to set things straight in Little Town? Read the first book in this series to find out!

Blood Sport is the second book in the Little Town series by J.D. Nixon. Little Town is what they call Mount Big Town. This tiny mountain settlement is a rural place that can often be peaceful and enjoyable. However, it can be full of its share of ruckus too.

Senior Constable Tess Fuller knows differently though, as does Sergeant Finn Maguire. They’re always busy trying to hold p law and order in a town that seems run by the Bycraft family. They’re all feral, but this time around they’ve got to capture Red Bycraft, who is now a fugitive who has threatened to hunt Tess Down.

They’ve also got to figure out what those secret retreat bikes are up to. Also, will Tess be able to show Sarge that the only way forward they have is by leaving the rules behind? Read Blood Sport to find out!
