The Hellions of Hade Harbor series is a series of contemporary romance novels. Mila Kane is one of the most popular contemporary romance and new adult romance fiction novelists in the industry. She has made a name for herself with her intense and dark storytelling. Kane usually writes stories with some very complicated characters and some dark motifs which typically result in a HEA. Apart from the Hellions of Hade Harbor series, Mila Kane has also published several other series including the Vicious Vengeance, Made of Mayhem, Original Sin, and Rites of Ruin series of novels. Most of her stories are best described as SAFE stories as they usually have heroes who have a singular focus on the heroine once they decide that they want her.

Over the years, Mila Kane has become very popular with many of her novels becoming bestsellers and garnering thousands of ratings on Goodread and other platforms. The Hellions of Hade Harbor series of novels is a page-turner of a series that is set in Hade Harbor, a fictional town. The leads in the novels are professional hockey players who live some very interesting lives. They have a reputation for dominance off and on the rink, even though they are some of the most possessive, loyal alpha heroes out there due to their dark pasts. Each title in the Hade Harbor series has one brooding hockey player in a relationship with an independent and fierce woman who strongly influences their lives. The relationships they have come with intense chemistry, emotion, and all manner of challenges.

The characters in the Hellions of Hade series usually go on some intriguing journeys, wherein Mila Kane weaves in themes of the healing power of love, loyalty, and redemption resulting in some passionate and heartfelt stories. It starts right from the debut in which the author introduces readers to a story of unbridled rivalry, raw emotion, and forbidden love. In the books that follow, Kane explores similar motifs as he also expands into second chances, self-discovery, and betrayal. These are stories full of swoon-worthy romance, tension, and drama that usually provide a happily ever after despite the rollercoaster of emotions.

Bad Intentions is the first novel of the Hellions of Hade Harbor series of novels by Mila Kane. The work introduces Lily and Eve, her best friend who has managed to convince her to attend a party. Living with very protective parents, Lily has lived a sheltered life. Moreover, since her father coaches hockey at her high school, hardly anyone dares mess with her. At the party, she meets Cayden who she had bumped into earlier that morning. No one is better at hockey than Cayden, even though they had clashed on their first encounter which resulted in her calling him a parasitoid. Never one to back down, he became determined to go after her and make her his no matter what. But he happens to be from the wrong side of town but that will not stop him as he is working hard on himself, hoping to one day go professional in the NHL. He will never let the freckled, red-haired, and nerdy girl ruin his confidence, even if it means he may have to get close to her to shut her down with his charm. The good thing is that he has been made her new foster brother and recently, he has discovered the perfect way to ruin her if she gets up to her shenanigans again.

The second novel of the Hellions of Hade Harbor series is Dark Delights. The novel goes back to when Eve and Beckett were 13 years old. Back then they were never best friends and in fact, they never got along. Beckett had been abused by his stepmother and several other people as a thirteen-year-old. His mental health was severely impacted and he got into drugs to numb his pain. In the meantime, Eve had her struggles in addition to the many financial difficulties her family has been having over the years. When Eve plays a part in outing Beckett as an addict to his father, he hates her even more. When they head to college as eighteen-year-olds, Eve needs a place to stay only to find that there is a mix-up in the registration and she has no place to live. With nowhere to go, she decides to live in her brother’s spot who happens to still have a room depite the fact that he has gone to another college. Since he was playing hockey, he had been living with the hockey players including Beckett. The latter believes he now has the chance to get even. He will only allow her to crash there if she lives by his rules but the forced proximity may just mellow them both.

In Twisted Deeds the third novel of the Hade Harbor series featuring Asher and Winter, things get even better. Asher is a star player in the Hade Harbor hockey team while Winter comes from one of the richest families in town. Asher has always been overprotective of his mother and sister and took on that responsibility while very young given that he never had a father figure in his life. On the other hand, Winter was always a distant ice queen since her father had warned her that people would try to take advantage of them since they had money. When her father tried to set her up with a boy named Trent, she rejected him by lying that she already had a boyfriend. Her father does not buy that she is in a relationship and hence she turns to Asher, her nemesis to prop up her story. Asher is initially unwilling to help her since he has always hated her guts. However, this may be the only opportunity he has to get one over the ice queen. Moreover, Asher would not mind being the one who dirties up the innocent princess personality that Winter has become known for.
