Heather Justesen is a reputed writer from America, who is well known for writing chick lit, romance, contemporary, women’s fiction, thriller, and mystery novels. She is known to have written several widely popular book series, including the Echo Ridge Romance series, DiCarlo Brides series, In the Garden series, Homecoming series, Carver Ranch series, and A Sweet Bites Mystery series. Heather uses the pen name of Heather Tullis for writing romance, chick lit, and women’s fiction stories, while she writes romantic mysteries and thriller under her original name. So far, Heather has penned over 30 novels across multiple genres. The DiCarlo Brides novels are particularly very popular. This series has helped her to establish herself as a prominent upcoming author of the romance genre. Heather has won several prestigious awards for her work.

In all, she has sold more than 200,000 printed copies of her books in many countries of the world. Also, her books have been translated into multiple foreign languages and read by numerous enthusiastic readers across the globe. Author Heather considers herself a great observer of the things happening around her. She always tries to combine her deep interest in romance & dabbler’s interest in the events taking place around her for creating characters with diverse careers and backgrounds. Heather has earned a BA degree in Literature from the Southern Utah University. She loves reading and writing very much. Heather likes to invest most of her time writing stories of romance and women’s fiction with motivating characters. During her spare times, she loves to indulge herself in the activities of the church and work with the youth in her locality. Also, Heather likes to hang out with her loving husband and her pets, try her hand at new recipes, listen to music and morning chirping of birds, etc.

Heather says that she was very into books when she was small. She used to spend more time reading stories than playing outside with other children in the neighborhood. Later, her growing interest enabled her to start developing stories of her own. However, she didn’t try writing anything on a serious note until she completed her graduation in 1998. Heather’s decision to go for a degree in English literature was nowhere related to her interest in writing. She believes that if that would have been the case, then she would have opted for a writing course for graduation. The years after graduation were quite difficult for Heather as she wrote many stories, but couldn’t get any of them published. It was only after struggling for 10 years that one of her books finally saw the light of the day. Since then, there was no looking back for her. Other than her successful novel series, Heather has written and published some standalone books that are equally successful and popular. The other activities that Heather likes to involve herself in her free time include volunteering as an A-EMT for the local ambulance service, gardening, playing with her menagerie of geese, guineas, chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc., and experimenting in her kitchen.

The DiCarlo Brides series written by author Heather Justesen is comprised of a total of 7 books released between 2012 and 2014. This series revolves around the lives of the daughters of George DiCarlo from his multiple relationships. When George is on the deathbed, his two daughters come across his will filled with many surprises for them. They come to know that they have 4 more sisters, all from different mothers, whose existence they didn’t know about until now. As per the will, the sisters are required to find their 4 sisters and work with them to get his new resort/hotel up and running. The will also state that all the 6 sisters must live together in one home for the first 12 months. By doing so, George hopes that the sisters will get closer and become good friends. The daughters get another surprise from George when they learn that he has chosen a perfect husband-to-be for each one of them. George’s interference in the lives of his daughters continues even from his grave, however, the daughters and their chosen grooms seem to differ from his plans for them and put up a fight wherever possible. The list of important characters in this series includes Cami DiCarlo, Vince Talmadge, Sage Parker, Joel Watts, Lana, Blake, Rosemary Keogh, Harrison Forest, Delphi Gifford, Jeremy Litster, Fallon, George DiCarlo, Gage, Angela CHestnut, Jonquil, Alex Checketts, etc. Heather has set the books in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, Colorado, and a few other places in the United States.

The debut book of this series is entitled ‘A Perfect Fit’. It was released in 2012 by the Jelly Bean Press. Initially, Cami DiCarlo is introduced as someone who always knew what she wanted to do in her life. But, she is taken in for big surprises when her dead father’s will reveals some huge secrets. She learns about the existence of 4 half-sisters and is also made aware of the plans that her father has made for her. Cami’s own plans don’t match with her father’s at all, but she agrees to what her father has asked for in his will. Cami begins working alongside her half-sisters in setting up a hotel. Later, she deals with conflicts of personality and tries to find out the person trying to ruin the name of her family and her hotel’s reputation. While all this is going on in her life, Cami meets the man her father had chosen as her future husband, Vince Talmadge. He is an architect by profession and doesn’t appear to the kind of man she wants to be her life partner. But, they begin to get attracted by their first interaction. Cami attempts to make her relationship with Vince work in spite of the many differences between them, and also sort out the other problems of her life.

The next book in the line up is called ‘Reclaiming His Bride’. It was also published by the Jelly Bean publication in 2013. It features the central characters like Blake and Lana. The story opens by mentioning that Lana’s life is ruled by secrets. Some of them, she discovered after the death of her father and others she has of her own. Lana and Blake have been married for around one year, but now they are trying to get divorced. In an emotionally weak moment and under the effect of too much champagne, Lana ends up in the arms of Blake. Subsequently, Lana becomes pregnant and this leads to more complexity in her relationship with Blake. No other woman has come into Blake’s life since he met Lana, but she doesn’t believe him. With the intention of saving their relationship, George offers a job at the managerial position in Lana’s hotel. Blake takes this opportunity with both hands as wishes to get back with Lana at any cost.
