Gayle Lynds is an American citizen who was born in a small town known as Omaha, which is in Nebraska, United States. Gayle is one of the authors who have gained popularity over the years in the United States of America. She has managed to produce some of the bestselling novels, though she is particularly known for her bestselling novel in the male-dominated spy thrillers’ and spy fiction’s genre.
Though Gayle Lynds was born in Nebraska, she did not grew up in that town. She was brought up in Iowa. This is also the place she went to school from her childhood to her adulthood. She is a well-educated author as she was able to excel in her education. She passed her high school and this gave her the chance to secure an opportunity of being University of Iowa’s student. At this university, she graduated with a journalism’s degree.
After graduating at the University of Iowa, Gayle was able to secure a job at Arizona Republic, where she began hercareer in journalism as a reporter. She was mainly dealing with investigative reporting. As a result of her reporting, Gayle was made a great impact that even led to the modifications in the State’s legislation. Afterwards, due to her industrious work, she became an editor at a think tank of the government on Top Secret security clearance.
Gayle Lynds started her writing career by simply writing literary short fiction stories which were published under her name. She also wrote pulp fiction novels, but the novels were under the male pseudonyms for example Gayle Stone, G.H. Stone, Don Pendleton and Nick Carter. During that same decade, Gayle wrote three novels, a mystery novel of the YA. Gayle Lynds, together with Robert Ludium, created the Covert-One series and wrote three of its books. This novels one of The Three Investigators.
In the year 2004, she was one of the co-founders of the International Thriller Writers. Just in the same year, David Morell elected her as the co-president of the International Thriller Writers, Inc.
In 2002 award of Daphne du Maurier, Mermerized novel by Gayle Lynds was finalist. In the year 2006, one of Gayle’s novels, The Last Spymaster was named and awarded the 2006 Novel of the Year prize by the Military Writers Society of America. In that same year, The Hades Factor, the novel she ansd Robert Ludium wrote, was CBS television miniseries. Also, another of her novel known as the Masquerade was listed and named by the Publishers Weekly as being in theTop most spy novels of all time. Her novel “The Coil”, was a 2004 BookPage as it won the Affaire de Coeur reader poll for the best contemporary novel. The Romantic Times Magazine also named her novel “Mosaic”, as the Thriller of the Year. Generally, as we have proved, Gayle Lynds was indeed an award-winning author.
Currently, Gayle Lynds is not really doing what she studied. This is due to the fact that she has dedicated her entire career life to be a full-time novelist.

The Assassins
This book talks about six master assassins. Each of these assassins is said to be the legend in international espionage’s dark cork corners. These assassins with great skills are brought together with aim of giving them a task of stealing a fortune from war zone middle. However, they do not manage to steal the fortune as the mission goes wrong, forcing them to draw back into shadows. But the assassins come back.
Judd Ryder, who is a former military spy, spots a man who looks the same as him, coming out of his row house, and wearing his clothes. Ryder slows down as he decides to follow the imposter, but the imposter is surprisingly killed in a hit and run situation. This leaves questions as whether the man was the intended victim, or was it Ryder.
After a while, Judd Ryder comes to learn that the mysterious event of the past, and the death of his double was as a result of infamous Cold War assassin, the Carnivore. It is believed the Ryder and Eva Blake, who was a CIA trainee, were the last people to see the Carnivore. This is why someone is trying to use them to lure the Carnivore out.
The assassins wage a final battle from Washington D.C to Baghdad and Marrakech. The assassins are fighting against each other this time. The main aim of the battle is to build on their reputation and also get Saddam Hussein’s long missing billion-dollar fortune. So in the end, only one is expected to remain standing. Judd and Eva end up going on the run battling for their lives and destinies.
