Jayne Castle is the creator and writer of the Futuristic World of Harmony series. This exciting fantasy series kicked off in 2012 with the release of the debut story, The Lost Night. The sequel would be released one year later, and a third book came out in 2014 titled The Hot Zone. Siren’s Call and Illusion Town are the fourth and fifth novel in the series.
The Lost Night is the debut novel in the Futuristic World of Harmony series by the talented writer Jayne Castle. It is here that readers get to be introduced to this strange world on their own for the first time.
This is a truly mysterious place, but it’s also a place where people who would not normally feel accepted in other communities can come and just be. Harmony is a place that allows for people that want to feel safe but would feel like outsiders or like they do not fit in with the rest of the residents.
The people there like to go to remote places that offer them sanctuary here, such as the Rainshadow Island. When they are there, they can feel safe and protected from the world. There are also secrets there that are guarded well.
This is where Rachel has been able to find some peace at least. Rachel Blake has the rare talent of being able to pick up on the auras of different criminals. She’s also been well-trained in martial arts– an exotic branch that hardly anyone has ever heard of before, let alone fought against.
When it comes down to it, Rachel prefers to be here on the island along with her dust bunny friend. They keep each other company and mostly enjoy sitting to themselves and enjoying the quiet that comes along with being there. They pass the time when not relaxing working at a part cafe and part bookstore.
Things are all nice and for the first time in Rachel’s life, she feels that she is able to zen out and relax. Everything begins to change when she has found that someone new has come to the area. Harry Sebastian is said to have come from the bloodline of a famous pirate from history. Now he has come to this place to conduct an investigation into what’s going on at the Preserve.
The Preserve is a section of woods that is privately owned and Harry has come to get a lay of the land. From the moment that he meets Rachel, he is attracted to her. However, he’s got to do his best to figure out what’s going on in this area– and whether the people that have transgressed upon this part of the woods can be found largely relies on whether Rachel will agree to use her special gifts to help him out.
He has to guard his secret though– he doesn’t want this woman finding out too much about him. When it comes to finding out how to track down bad guys, she’s definitely talented. Harry can feel himself beginning to fall for this strange woman that is willing to help him out– but is it a good idea to get involved?
Can she help him track down these guys and will Rachel win his heart forever in the process? You’ve got to pick up a copy of this exciting book from futuristic author extraordinaire Jayne Castle in order to find out!
Deception Cove is the sequel to the exciting first story in one of the most popular fantasy series of all time. Harmony is home to many interesting people and the island is a place where outsiders can feel like they belong somewhere.
It’s a place where you can find tranquility and all sorts of places to take refuge– even a preserve that holds all types of secrets and perhaps even treasure. Even if you’re not what a typically ‘normal’ person would be and have special powers, you can come here and feel like you are not alone.
Alice is one of those people that is gifted. She is a light-talent. That means that she can make objects disappear. She can even make people disappear and can go invisible any time that she feels like it.
Alice North uses this ability for magic shows that she puts on. Her dust bunny is of course named Houdini and they put on little acts together where the audience is always amazed at what she is able to do.
When it comes to Drake, he is a business man that has actually had his sight severely damaged. It was a lab accident that caused him to be day-blind, and even though he is a mogul with compromised sight he is also the only individual with the ability to see Alice when invisible.
Now Drake is in need of Alice’s help to track down two crystals from the Old World. Their absence could set off a huge storm with paranormal forces of huge destructive capability.
Will she help Drake to find them or are they already doomed to find out that the storm has begun? Read the exciting second book in the Futuristic series by Castle to find out!
