Elizabeth Maddrey is a mostly reformed computer geek and homeschooling mom of two that loves a good happily ever after.

She started writing stories just as soon as she could form each letter properly and hasn’t ever looked back. Even though her practical nature and love of math, computers, and organization steered her into computer science at Wheaton College, she’s always had one or more stories in progress to help occupy her free time.

This continued through a Master’s program in Software Engineering, several years in the computer industry, teaching programming at the college level, and a PhD in Computer Technology in Education.

When she’s not writing, she is an avid consumer of books and has mastered the art of reading as she undertakes just about any other activity.

She tends to read around 110 to 140 books per year. She isn’t a genre snob at all, her only real requirement is a happily ever after by the end, and even then she’s not all that picky. There just has to be some hope, some sliver of redemption. Elizabeth likes realistic (to a point) as well. If she’s reading romance, all of that is off the table. Happily ever after or bust.

She’s able to read so much because she reads primarily on her kindle, which frees her hands, so she can do things as she reads. She’ll read while brushing her teeth and blow drying her hair or cooking dinner, sorting laundry.
