Before she creates a plan, they are attacked along the way and eventually she finds herself fighting for her life. In the middle of the battle, the leader of his clan, notices a beauty who is struggling with the attackers. He eventually manages to get to her and whisk her to safety.
Magnu’s party has been successful, in delivering the sister, to her husband to be, and with Arbela missing, Magnus decides to return home. An incident erupts during one of the break, when one of his men advices him that the only way to ensure Arbela is safe is to marry her. Since he has already promised to marry another lady, and also since Arbela has a spouse, he does not take the suggestion seriously. With that said, the writing in this novel is first paced and also lively. It is prinkled with humor from the first page to the last. Magnus is exceedingly strong but with a loving heart. On the other hand, Arbela is exceedingly strong, brave and honorable. Eliza Knight has managed to create a sensual story, which is filled with a heart-throbbing tension. The animosity and bitterness between the scotts and the English during this era has been well portrayed. The exceedingly powerful emotions between the sworn enemies is definitely the highlight of the story.
The Highlander’s Lady
This is the third installment in the series. Due to the tragedy that involves her mother and an exceedingly overprotective father, Myra is forced to watch in the shadows for the most part of her life. So far, she has only had one exception, the night that she had spent dancing with Daniel. However, this night ended with a heart ache and misunderstanding. When Daniel eventually finds Myra all alone and in need of help in the forest after her family’s castle is attacked, he decides to assist Myra by assisting her fulfil her brother’s last request. From the word go, Daniel and Myra has a truly great chemistry from the very first moment they met. They also had an exceedingly great history, which made this novel exceedingly intriguing. The Highlander’s Warrior Bride
In this book we are introduced to the Ronan warrior who is fully committed to the king. Due to his commitment to the country and to the king, the warrior has no room for love. On the other hand, Julianna has made a promise to never marry a man who serves as a protector to the king. However, the more time they are forced to spend together, the more they realize that giving up on love is indeed a sacrifice that none of them is willing to take. Julianna and Ronan are exceedingly strong and passionate characters. It is great to see them go to the battle together as they fought the enemies of the king.
The two make such a great team. For many people, the Highlander’s Warrior Bride was the best book in the series. It has such a strong protagonist, who unlike most women in that era, does what very few could manage to do. Because of her courage and self-belief, the hero admires and suppots her for this. The storyline is exceedingly interesting because the hero admires, supports and loves her for this. This book is highly recommended for any person who loves to read Scottish historical Romance novels.
