Elise Noble is a bestselling romantic suspense novelist that is best known for the “Blackwood” series of novels. She loves to call herself an English Rose with a few things. She is also a huge fan of well-defined abs, sleep, and chocolate.

She makes her home near London where she lives with her husband who is a sexy chef, a dog that is always eating her car keys, and a horse that consumes all her money. She has said that she was always a reader and hence it was not surprising that she would decide to become an author.

Noble published “Trouble in Paradise” her debut novel in 2015 after she found lounging in an old manor house. She now has more than 58 works to her name across more than ten series, several single-standing novels, a collection of short stories, and novellas.
While she has now achieved a lot of success with her novels, she still works as a chartered accountant and writes part-time. She will usually spend most of her days working a 9-5 and her nights dreaming up plot and characters to wow her readers.

When it comes to her writing, Elise Noble has said that she is in the middle between a pantser and a plotter. She will usually start each novel with a 200-word outline and generally knows how it is supposed to end.
Nonetheless, she will often change the middle parts and often lets the scenes and characters take a life of their own. As such, she often ends up with what is a very different book from what she had planned.

Her current record for a first draft is six days but she will usually complete her drafts in two months. According to Elise, penning her first draft has always been easy but it is the editing that is usually the hardest part as it sometimes takes her up to eight months.
Afterward, she will let the manuscript sit for a few months before she reads it and starts making changes here and there. Some of the things she usually does is fix timeline and continuity errors before giving the manuscript to beta readers.

Once she makes changes according to feedback from her readers, she will then send the manuscript to Nikki her editor for more changes. When all major mistakes including grammar and spelling corrections have been made, the book is given to proofreaders before it is finally published.

The author provides a lot of insights into how Emmy lived a difficult life which has made her into a lovable kickass heroine. While the prospect of Emmy and Luke rekindling their romance was welcome, the good mix of dry humor, romantic action, and a surprising twist was even better.

“Forever Black” by Elise Noble opens with Emmy being attacked by 14 men on her birthday. Unfortunately, the attack on her house kills one of the guard. She decides to revenge her employee’s death despite the many dangers and threats.
She ultimately finds herself in Columbia and working with a drug lord that has been her friend for years as they start planning revenge.

The novel is an edge-of-your-seat thriller as we follow Emmy and her brilliant team into South America as she tries to right the wrongs committed ad find retribution.

There are many instances where you will need to find a breather but the story will always get you diving back in for more. It is a brilliant series with perfectly created characters that seem to get better with each novel.
