Before dwelling entirely on writing fiction, she was a journalist for about sixteen years; this was under her birth name. Today she has published countless books, more than 150 books; most of these are fictional novels that have been published and translated all over the globe. Her bestselling novel, Diamond Girl was made into a movie and was released in 1998 for television.
Diana Palmer’s personal life
Born in Cutbert Georgia she is the eldest daughter of Maggie Eloise who was a nurse and a journalist and William Olin who was a college professor. She was raised with her young sister Dannis Spaeth in Chamblee, George where Susan graduated from Chamblee High School back in 1964. She grew up enjoying reading and fell in love with her cowboys friends.
On 9th October 1972, Diana got married to James Edward with whom they had one son in 1980. At age 54 she went back to college after she was inspired by her husband that quit his job so as to pursue computer programming. She graduated in 1995 with a major in history and a double minor in Spanish and Archaeology. She has had a splendid writing career and has also been working on a master’s degree in history at the California State. She plans to specialize in Native American studies. Apart from excelling in her writing career and studying, Diana loves gardening, music, astronomy, anthropology, archaeology and iguanas.
Diana Palmer’s writing career
Diana kicked off her writing career where she worked as a newspaper reporter. She had a sixteen year experience in writing both weekly and daily newspapers. She wrote for the Tri-County advertiser and the Gainesville Times before taking a serious journey in writing novels.
She began with writing romance novels in 1979; this was under the Pseudonym Diana Palmer. She used this name for about 28 years. She has used several Pseudonym names but is well known under the Pseudonym Diana Palmer. She writes for three New York publishing houses; Silhouette books, Fawcett Books and Mira books.
Awards
The several awards Diana has received cannot be left unsaid especially when discussing about success romance novels. Her awards include four B.Dalton sales awards, seven Waldenbooks national sales awards, two regional romance writers of America and several Affaire de Coeur awards. Throughout the years her books have received a wide acclaim from many readers all over the world. She has been invited to speak at different Romance conventions in recent years.
Wyoming Bold
Wyoming Bold is the third book in the Kirk brother series written by Diana Palmer. The series is about brothers who work as ranchers in Wyoming. The brothers have their problems and they seem that they are never far from frequent troubles. However, the family that consists of Mallory, Tank and Cane are a family that will always be there for each other no matter what situation or cost.
Mallory one of the brothers has his story told in the early series of Wyoming Tough, Canes Story was told in Wyoming Fierce, an early series and Dalton’s story is told in the Wyoming Bold novel that was published in 2013. You will like these brothers when as you impatiently flip the pages, they are strong, hardworking, honest and also handsome, Tank is not left out. He finds himself fallen in love with Merissa, this compels him to become more and more desperate to make sure that she is always safe. However, there is always this loose madman; no one is safe till these brothers find this person.
In the search of the madman, Tank finds help from his longtime friend Rourke who was introduced in the previous novels. There are other interesting characters that are available for help, Tank wants them on his side. Finding this madman proves difficult than they had initially imagined, he is a master of disguise but they have to quickly find him to stop him. Unfortunately, he always seems to be a step ahead of them.
The Wyoming Bold is simply an interesting novel that reflects Diana Palmers expertise in writing Romance novels. Tank and Merissa fall for each other quickly; it usually gets beautiful to see this tender romance blossom between two people that are in dire need for love. The story is made more interesting and enjoyable as you will like both Merissa and Tank; this is due to Diana’s creativity in bringing out a sense of family that is always strong. There is always enough action to keep you interested in Merissa’s mysterious gift; it is presented in such a ways that is believable and an important part of the story. They are few characters that come and go; it will be therefore very interesting to read the first two novels in the series.
Long, Tall Texans
This is another attention-grabbing novel by Diana; it is about three friends Calhoun, Justin and Tyler. They are all long, tall Texans that are rugged and lean. They are the sweetest-talking men and also best-looking one can find in this lonely state. These three legends are in a popular demand in this classic volume.
Diana does not let readers down as she depicts romance in this novel in quite a unique approach. Calhoun, is a powerful rancher, when will he realize that the protective and possessive feelings aroused by Abby meant she was now a grown woman? Justin on the other hand, dreams of Shelby asking for his help. Finally this comes true when Shelby needs him, how could he refuse this? Tyler our final character has been a smooth charmer that has always won every lady he has met, until he meets the plainspoken and irresistible Nell.
These two illustrations are a tip of the iceberg to the stimulating journey you will experience in reading Diana Palmer’s novels. These novels are meant sorely for romance enthusiasts. You will feel the emotions as you go through the pages. From romance that seems boring and partners that love each other despite several misunderstandings, you will fall in love with all these characters.

I have read and reread many of Diana Palmer’s books. She is a favorite author of mine. The later books sometimes have too much info over all the characters in previous stories. I like the story the most…They must have plenty of young brides, and older men, what about the rest of the town.
