After completing her high school education, Dee Henderson joined the University of Illinois. In the year 1988, Dee Henderson graduated from the same university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Upon completing her university education, Dee Henderson began working as an engineer.

Her career as an engineer lasted for almost 10 years after which she decided to quit and \then started a new career as a fiction writer.

Ever since she started her full time job as an author, Dee Henderson has written more than 14 novels and series which include, The Valor, The negotiator, Devotion, the Protector, The Rescue, The healer and many others.

Of all her books the Negotiator is the one that appears to have appealed to a wide range of audiences hence it has been translated to both Dutch and French languages.

True Devotion

Regarded by many as the best story of all times, True devotion is the first book in the Uncommon Heroes series. Apart from having a very great storyline, True Devotion also has very great characters who will undeniably capture your attention from the start of the book towards the very end.

The Uncommon Heroes is a series that was specifically written to give the reader a good perspective into the lives of the people who serve in the military together with their entire families and what they have to sacrifice so as to serve their countries and the people.

By bringing this series to life, Dee Henderson was able to paint a story line that is not only authentic but also very electrifying. While conducting a rescue mission in the pacific, lifeguard Kelly Jacobs understands that she is at the risk of losing her life because there is a riptide that can drown her at any time. While battling for her life, her entire life flashes by as she thinks about her life partner, Nick.

Now deceased Nick was a Navy Seal who apparently had died during a training accident. Apart from thinking about Nick she also reflects about her feelings for Joe Baker also referred to as Bear. Joe Baker was a fellow Navy Seal and Nick’s best friend. With her life hanging by the thread, Kelly Jacobs still believes that Joe Baker is going to rescue her from her near death experience.

Regardless of the odds of that happening, Kelly Jacobs is saved by non-other than one Joe Baker. After the death of her husband, Kelly and Bear became friends with nothing existing between the two. But after she was rescued by Bear, Kelly blows the friendship they had by confessing her love for Bear.

With her feelings for Bear now out in the open, is Kelly going to have everything or is she going to lose everything? But despite of her feeling for Joe Bear, Kelly and Bear must join hands and figure out who killed Nick and why since the person who killed Nick is now threatening to have both of them killed.

True Valor

As the second book in the Uncommon Heroes naval series, True Valor is a book about one of the best naval aviators in the United States navy, Gracie Yates. Due to her hard work and sheer determination, Grace Yates has been selected for one of the toughest tasks in the history of the navy.

The task handed to her, will involve going behind enemy lines and survive until help arrived. Apart from Grace, the reader is also introduced to one Major Bruce Stanton who is also known as Striker. Just like Grace, Striker is also an individual who works extra hard and holds his job in very high regard.

As a trained Pararescue, Bruce has been pulling Special Forces soldiers and Pilots who were trapped behind enemy lines. Despite the fact that they were working on different departments, Bruce has always ensured that he was in touch with Grace even before she was chosen for her special mission.

Just like the previous book, Henderson plunges her main characters in danger just to show how faith and love can work miracles even in the most dangerous and life threatening situations.

Conclusion

As a Christian inspirational and romance writer, Dee Henderson is always more than determined to ensure that all her books are not only well written but also in an inspirational undertone.

Just like all her novels the Uncommon Heroes series was written to perfection while on the other hand the research that was done on each of the character together with their line of duty and responsibilities is pretty impressive.

The depth of emotion in this book is very well articulated thus plays a key role in bringing out the aspects of religion and romance very clearly. By employing the use of emotions, Dee Henderson is also able to involve the readers in such a manner that you may want to be present in the book and assist the hero or the individual who is being saved by the hero.

As an award winning Christian inspirational writer, Dee Henderson always ensures that in all her books the importance of all the aspects of faith, religion and prayer are always highlighted.

I love all of your books. I have read the O’Malley series so many times I know the text by heart. I would love to see another book or two in this series. For example, what happens to Kate, Dave and Holly? Does Stephen have children with his new bride? Lisa and Quinn? All the Omalley’s what happens to them? Your books are just so uplifting thank you. I second this!
Could be a family reunion and go into a different update on each one of the siblings! Could be flashbacks or them telling each other stories. Oh how fun!

I just finished listening to Jennifer. I know the book is short, but it seems like you stopped right in the middle of the book. I was so disappointed. What happened when she told her family? What news did she get from the Mayo cliic? Does she beat the cancer?? Im a very frustrated reader at the moment.
