The Dragon series trilogy covers the story of a female shapeshifter who should be the Wyvern. At the start of the first book, Flying Blind, Zoe the should –be Wyvern is struggling to find her dragon powers when her best friend encounters bullies in her school. In a bid to protect her, Zoe unlocks her dragon powers. In the process, she and her fellow shapeshifters discover a threat to the Pyr that they must eradicate immediately. In the journey to save the planet, Zoe experiences new romances, first kisses, and first loves. In Kiss of Fire, the dragon warriors protect the universe and its elements and treasures. However, the Slayers, who intend to ger rid of the human race, threaten the world and the Pyr must find a way to protect humans from possible annihilation. The novel also features Sara Keegan as a character, a quirky and quiet bookworm that is about to be drawn into an adventure she could not have foreseen. In the following novel, Alexandra Madison, a well-known scientist was about to unveil an invention that would change humanity for good. Things go terribly wrong when her partner is brutally murdered. While in the hospital recovering from her accident, she begins having weird nightmares involving dragon slayers. Consequently, she meets her protector, a Pyr known as Donovan. The two fall in love in and unite to save her invention and the world. Eileen deals with a passionate Pyr known as Erik in Kiss of Fate. Erik and Eileen work together to realize the prophecy of the Pyr while facing their deepest fears in an effort to defeat the Slayers.
In Winter’s kiss, a dragon blood elixir gives immortal powers to the Pyr’s biggest enemy known as Magnus. Delaney must work to make sure that Magnus does not live to destroy the human race. Eventually, Delaney meets Sinclair, and the two are involved in a romantic relationship to beat all relationships. Whisper Kiss covers the triumphs and tribulations of Niall, a Pyr that has dedicated his life to fighting shadows dragons that are focused on destroying the world. Niall joins forces with Rox, a tattoo artist that makes the perfect mate for Niall. Dark fire Kiss follows the life of two mates Rafferty Powell and Melissa Smith, who are involved in a bitter struggle to take down Magnus, the slayer. Melissa has an unusually personal agenda as Magnus killed her best friend brutally. Flash Fire follows the life of Lorenzo, who has kept his dragon shape shifter nature a secret. While dealing with the firestorm, he meets Cassie and they both struggle to keep their romance alive. Embers Kiss contains a passionate love story between Brandon and Liz while Kiss of Danger features the loves story between Alexander and Katina. From the synopsis of the book series, the author attempts to keep the general love story similar in all her installations.
Her latest novels, Kiss of danger, darkness, and destiny all follow the same format. Her last installation, known as Firestorm forever also entails the firestorm between Samantha and Sloane. Unlike the other novels, the Pyr and Slayers are engaged in a final battle to save the planets and eradicate the threat of the slayers once and for all. Deborah Cooke has done an impressive job of introducing new characters in all her novels while maintaining a general storyline. Each book features the experiences of characters in a different perspective. For readers, exploring the fictional world of Dragon fire, it is interesting to encounter romantic love stories from the point of view of ordinary humans. Linked series are easy to follow, which allows the reader to experience intimate encounters told differently each time.
