Claire Kann is a renowned novelist from the United States, who is famous for writing romance, fantasy, contemporary, young adult, paranormal, and lgbt stories. She has written a few successful books in her career so far, including The Scavenger Hunt, Let’s Talk About Love, and Fat Girl Magic. Author Kann is a resident of the Bay Area. She is happy that the weather over there is not temperate anymore as it used to be a few years back. This gives her a soothing atmosphere to write her stories. She had entered a challenge with her critique partner to write a story and submit it to Swoon publication before a set deadline. She tried for one full week, but couldn’t come up with anything interesting. Some time later, Kann realized that she wanted to describe a romance story that she could experience herself and put a part of her soul into. Eventually, she got the idea of writing Alice’s story, who is the lead character of her debut novel.

Being a fangirl herself, Kann likes to listen to songs on repeat mode. She says she does so in spite of getting sick about it because she is done feeling the entire feelings. It was her father, who motivated her and assisted in increasing her interest in music. Kann always looks for new artists and songs that she would keep listening to for days and nights. She seems to have created Alice based in her own likes and dislikes. Just like her, she too loves coffee mugs, cats, stuffed animals, Clefairy, and Cubone. Author Kann is very grateful to her fans for supporting her throughout and liking her books. She likes to give the credit of all her success to her readers because she thinks if they had not liked her novels, then she would not have become what she is doing. The successful debut book of author Claire Kann is entitled ‘Let’s Talk About Love’. It was released by the Swoon Reads publication in the year 2018. The primary characters of this book are depicted as Alice and Takumi. At the start of the story of the book, it is shown that Alice makes a big plan of how she is going to spend the whole summer. She decides she is going to eat big buffets as much as she can and watch her favorite television shows for long hours with her best friends. Alice even plans to work for some hours at the library just so she can pay the rent. Her plan seems all perfect, except that she has not included her girlfriend in it. She ended things with Alice after learning about her asexual nature. So, Alice decided that she is done with her and won’t have any interaction whatsoever.

After some time, Alice comes across a handsome boy named Takumi. She keeps thinking about Takumi and a different kind of romantic feeling starts developing inside her, which she had not asked for. Alice’s blissful summer goes for a turn unexpectedly when she learns that Takumi is going to join the library as an employee. Alice begins to see him as her knight in shining library’s employee badge. But, before deciding to approach Takumi with her feelings for him, she wonders if she is willing to take the risk of putting their friendship on the line for love. There is a chance that Takumi may not be having the same feelings for Alice as she has for him. In that case, she might end up losing a good friend.

Another exciting book penned by Kann is called ‘The Scavenger Hunt’. It was published in 2016 as an ebook. The central characters of this book include Ethan and Olive. At the beginning of the book’s story, it is depicted that Olive has deep feelings for Ethan in her heart, but she keeps it to herself. She decides that she is going to reveal to him about her feelings for him only after doing something commendable and winning his heart. So, Olive participates in the scavenger hunt with the intention of winning it. Ethan is her teammate in the scavenge hunt. He tells Olive that it is a madness on her part to participate in this dangerous hunt. It is not a party of something where she is going to get drunk, dance, or pass out. The scavenger hunt is not even like her yearly scouts retreat girl scavenger hunt. Olive does not listen to anything that Ethan says as she wishes to win this hunt for him. The prize money for the first team that reports back before the midnight is $50,000. But, Olive doesn’t want the money. The only thing she wants is for Ethan to see how much she loves her and expects him to love her back.
