Early and Personal Life
Cecelia Ahern was born in Dublin the capital city of Ireland on 30 September 1981. Born and brought up as a daughter of a renowned politician Bertie Ahern who later became the Taoiseach or the Prime Minister of Ireland in 1997, Cecilia’s life had a great start. She has spent most of her life in the city of Dublin and still resides there. She has an elder sister Georgia Ahern who is married to Nicky Byrne of an Irishpop group Westlife.
Cecelia studied Journalism and Media Communications from the Dublin University before embarking her writing career. In the year 2000, she was a part of a pop group called Shimma which was ranked 3rdin Irish National Final for the Euro-vision song contest. From a pop band member to a journalist and finally becoming a best-selling author Cecilia has done wonders in her life.
She gave birth to a beautiful girl named Robin with her partner David Keoghan in 2009. They were later secretly married in County Kildare with David on 11 June 2010. She later gave birth to a son Robin in 2013.
She is living happily and publishing books based out of her home town Dublin.

Cecelia Ahern has done wonders, she has published a dozen of titles including renowned Love, Rosie and P. S. I Love You and which were turned into a movie. Cecelia started her writing career in 2001 after finishing her degree in Media Communications and Journalism. When she started her writing career in 2001, she had no writing experience. However, she managed to publish a best seller that remained a bestseller for 12 weeks in Ireland. It also remained in the best seller list for 52 weeks in Germany. The book was in the best sellers list in all parts of the world.
Cecelia has a gift of writing, she has not looked back since the publication of her first book in 2004. Even with two pregnancies and marriage she has given twelve titles in a decade and most of them have made their mark. The debut novel of Cecelia Ahern in 2014 earned her a huge respect in the literary community. Her first novel at the age of just 21, was a best seller in all parts of the world and remained as a best seller for 52 weeks in Germany. The book was later converted to a movie by Warner Brothers which turned out to be a blockbuster earning more respect for the author.
The book is about a happily married couple who are envied by others for their chemistry and love. The husband is diagnosed with a fatal illness and he dies in a few months. Garry plans a series of surprises and tasks for Holly to get over her and at the end of the letters he was able to convince Holly to move on and enjoy her life.
The book is a masterpiece in the contemporary romance genre and the tragic beginning converting into a romantic end makes a lot of readers cry. Both the book and the movie were able to create emotional waves in the audience or the readers.
Love Rosie
The novel Love Rosie was another masterpiece by Cecelia Ahern. She wrote the novel while enjoying the huge success of P. S. I Love You and it is reflected in the story. This novel too was highly appreciated by the readers but it was not able to reach the heights of her debut novel. The title was a best seller in Ireland twelve weeks and won her the prestigious Corine Award.Cecelia understands romance to the depth and has a very creative mind when creating romantic friction. She can make her readers cry, smile and laugh at the same time. The book Love Rosie does the same.
The story is about two childhood friends who are destined to be together. At an early age the boy has to leave the country and they are made distant from each other. However, they continue to be in touch with each other through emails and letters.
This love story goes deep as everyone except the couple knows that they are destined to be together and they realize the fact after a long journey looking for someone else. The book is a marvel to read and will invigorate your romantic persona for sure.
The book was later converted into a motion picture in 2014.
Place Called Here
The fourth novel written by Cecelia Ahern was another major success. She wrote this book in 2006 which was again the number one best-seller in both Ireland and U.K. The story is optioned by Touchstone with Warren Little-field for a TV Drama series.
The story is about a girls named Sandy who is obsessed with missing things. She tries to find out every missing thing around her. Her obsession started when her childhood schoolmate went missing. She later unravels the mystery only to find out about her home she ran away as a child. Now, she is looking for a way to her home.
The success stories of Cecelia Ahern are unimaginable, in a short span of a few years she has marked her presence as a prolific gifted writer with a great understanding of human emotions and romance.
