She has written several highly successful book series, such as the Creatus series, the What’s Luck Got To Do With It series, and the Southern Suspense novel series. Carmen is very much famous for her Southern Suspense series of novels in particular. Author Carmen hails from Daytona Beach, United States. She likes to consider herself more of a reader than a writer. Her interest in reading different genres of books began as soon as she grew old enough to hold books in her hands. Carmen says that she has always been very fascinated with written words in the novels. She seems to enjoy almost all kinds of stories, however, she tends to lean toward the magical realism and romantic suspense genres more often.

The Southern Suspense series written by author Carmen DeSousa is comprised of 5 books in total, which were released between the years 2011 and 2013. Each of the five books is a sensual and a gripping story of romantic suspense. Carmen has set the stories in the South and has filled them with betrayal, obsession, and love. She has described the plots in such a unique style that they make the readers fall in love, and wonder if anyone around can be trusted. All the books consist of a different set of main characters. The series’ debut book is entitled ‘She Belongs to Me’. It was released in the year 2011. Author Carmen has mentioned the lead characters of this book as Jordan Monroe and Jaynee, and has done the plot’s setting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Jordan Monroe works as a police officer in Charlotte. He is used to the habit of having the control of things in his hand. He has been providing for his sisters and his mother since the death of his father. Jordan even hired his brothers-in-law for running his construction company. While on a routine business trip, Jordan comes across Jaynee by chance, who changes his life completely. Jaynee has kept a distance from men as she doesn’t trust them and has lived all her life in a great tragedy. But, when she comes in touch with Jordan, she finds it difficult to keep herself away from him. In their very first meeting, Jaynee gets swept off by Jordan Monroe. He makes her realize that there is happiness around and you just have to experience it. However, she wonders if she can remain happy for a long time and overcome her difficult past.

A period of five years passes by since Jordan and Jaynee first met and got married. One day, he sees her lying with a gun-shot wound on the back porch. She goes into coma and Jordan keeps wondering how did things take such a drastic turn? In order to sort things out and find answers to the numerous questions that keep popping in his mind, Jordan Monroe decides to look back into the past life of Jaynee. He wants to know whether it is because of him that his wife has met with such a fate or whether her past life has come to haunt both of them?

Another very interesting book of this series is called ‘Land of the Noonday Sun’. It was published in 2013. The plot of this book revolves around the life of the chief character named Cassandra, and takes place in Nantahala, North Carolina. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that Cassandra is the daughter of a rich attorney in Nantahala. She has a beautiful face and is highly analytical in her approach. She has plans to follow in the footsteps of her father. But, her expectation of a privileged life shatters all of a sudden as she loses her career, home, and her father’s fortune. Nothing good happens to her for a long time and then she sees some hope in the form of a mysterious letter that promises her happiness in the future.

Cassandra learns that she can inherit half million dollars if she fulfills the condition of staying in small Nantahala town for 6 months. She begins the serve the deal and hopes to fulfill the condition. But, halfway through the time, Cassandra falls in love and finds herself trying to battle for 2 lives. The man whom Cassandra starts loving feels haunted by his traumatic past. He seems to have learned to cope up with his situation and starts living a carefree life. But, the moment Cassandra comes into his life, everything begins to change. The man sees that his life is headed towards turmoil. Soon, his past weakness also begins to overpower him. Cassandra knows she has to act strong and support her lover if she wants things to begin normal again in both their lives. She tries to make him believe that he is a strong person and can fight his way out of the tragedy.

   When will the story continue from the Creatus Series or has it ive been looking for the story to continue but can’t find anything im leagaly blind can only listen to books by audio so might have miss the names of the books
