C.H. Admirand
C. H. Admirand was born in Aiken, South Carolina, however her parents moved back to northern New Jersey where she grew up. She believes in destiny, fate, and love at first sight. C. H. fell in love at first sight when she was just 17, and was married for 41 wonderful years until her husband lost his battle with cancer. As soul mates, their hearts will be joined forever. They’ve got three grown kids, two grandsons, a son-in-law, two rescue dogs, and two rescue grand-cats.
Very rarely do her characters follow the synopsis that she outlines for each of them, however she’s learned how to listen to her characters. Her husband, who was the inspiration for the very best traits found in her heroes. Like his honesty, his compassion for those in need, his integrity, and his killer broad shoulders. She writes about the things that she loves most: her English and Irish ancestry, family, baking, and gardening.
“The Marshal’s Destiny” is the first novel in the “Irish Western” series and was released in 2001. Margaret Mary Flaherty, Irish born, leaves New York City and heads to Colorado carrying the signed proof that her brother needs to keep some greedy landowners from stealing his ranch from him. U. S. Marshal Joshua Turner is headed to Colorado to investigate charges of land fraud and cattle rustling.
Their paths cross right in the middle of enemy territory, where Marshal Turner comes to her aid as her stagecoach gets attacked by some hostile Indians. Just one look at the handsome marshal, and Maggie swears that her destiny’s calling to her from the depths of this man’s brilliant green eyes. Just one look at the fiery haired woman with cornflower colored eyes is all that it takes for Joshua to wonder if he has finally found the woman that will teach him how to love.
“Tyler” is the first novel in the “Secret Life of Cowboys” series and was released in 2011. Desperate times call for desperate measures. When Tyler Garahan said that he would do anything in order to save his family’s ranch, he never believed that would include taking a job at a local ladies’ club as a stripper. However the club’s fiery redheaded bookkeeper captures his attention, and for her, he will swallow his pride.
And one good turn deserves another. Emily Langley does feel for this gorgeous cowboy. It is obvious that the guy is the real deal and would not be caught dead in this ladies’ revue if he was not in some big trouble. And whenever he looks at her like that, she will do anything to help him out.
Tyler is plumb exhausted, working nights at the ladies’ club and days at the ranch. However could it be that his gorgeous boss needs him just as much as he needs her.
“A Wedding in Apple Grove” is the first novel in the “Small Town USA” series and was released in 2012. Welcome to Apple Grove, Ohio. Population 597. It’s a place where townsfolk take care of each other, meddle in your life (whether you want them to or not), then stop in at The Apple Grove Diner, which is gossip central, in order to pass on the latest news.
Megan Mulcahy has got it all. A job that she loves working alongside of her sisters in the family handyman business and living in the town that she loves. However at night she dreams of her happily ever after, seeing her name and the proposal, painted in John Deere Green, up on the town water tower. Up until she falls into Dan Eagan’s arms.
A new job, a new town, and fresh start is all that Dan Eagan really wants. Up until this petite redhead with freckles falls into his arms, quite literally. When he sees she’s about to fall off the top rail of the fence that she is walking on, he slows down and pulls over, then catches her. He was right, she will be trouble.
The story is filled with small town charm, while its residents are loving and wonderful people. Grace and Dan have a romance that is well thought out and satisfying. This is an easy going and fun read, and the ‘will they, won’t they?’ in the novel really holds your attention throughout.
“The Duke’s Sword” is the first novel in the “Duke’s Guard” series and was released in 2022. Gwendolyn guards her battered and bruised heart like a warrior. Patrick O’Malley has zero time for distractions.
The Duke of Wyndmere’s quest to find a nanny for his newborn twins brings yet one more applicant to his door. Gwendolyn Alexander’s reputation precedes her as being one of the most sought-after nannies among the whole ton.
Patrick, head of the duke’s personal guard, hopes this recent applicant is going to meet with the approval of the toughest members of the duke’s family, his twin babies. Nothing can prepare him for the physical attraction that slams right into him as this petite woman, who is dressed in drab peat-brown from head to toe, steps down out of the duke’s carriage. Her Irish whiskey-colored eyes hold him captive, while her voluptuous curves have his breath snagging in his lungs while unbidden images slam right into him of tangled sheets, flickering firelight, and some silky brown tresses spread across the white of his pillow.
Gwendolyn anticipates that her reputation preceding her while she alights from the duke’s carriage. As she steps down from the carriage to thank the footman for his aid, and her gaze collides with the impossibly handsome and broad shouldered man, garbed in black from head to toe. Desire flickers in the eyes the color of polished emeralds, which reminds her of Beltane fires, drawing her inexorably toward this man.
Patrick and Gwendolyn find they’re at cross purposes protecting the little ones from threats of kidnapping, they have to learn how to compromise and work together before this kidnapper can strike again. Are they going to walk away or face the fire of desire which threatens to consume them?
