The Brad Madison Thriller series is one of the most intriguing series ever written by J.J. Miller. Miller spent much of his life writing stories and has a bank of in-depth profiles, news stories, and magazine features to his name. With so many writings to his name, he began thinking that maybe he had it in him to write a novel. During his teenage years, he loved to read Wilbur Smith and read every book he ever put out. Later on, he got into Ernest Hemingway, then got filled with awe with Grisham, captivated by Tom Clancy, floored by Raymond Carver, and exhilarated by Hunter S. Thompson. Brad would then pen three nonfiction works before he got into literary fiction. All he wanted was to find out if he could pen an intriguing work that he would love to read. Between being a hands-on father, a full-time job, and stealing any moment he could, he wrote his first literary fiction work. It took him a lot of hard work and a year to publish his first-ever work of fiction, Force of Justice, the debut of the Brad Madison Legal Thriller books.
The Brad Madison Legal Thriller series is J.J. Miller’s most popular work. Over the years it has become popular for its compelling character development and intricate storytelling. Across multiple novels, the legal thriller series tells the story of Brad Madison, a defense attorney who works on intricate legal cases each with its moral dilemma and unique challenges. Brad Madison is a relatable and complex character who comes with strengths and flaws that make him very relatable. That depth adds a layer of authenticity to the series making it easier for readers to connect with his professional and personal struggles. What is even better is how J.J. Miller portrays the legal system, as there is hardly any author who can better his believable and well-researched courtroom scenes and legal procedures. This aspect also enhances the credibility of his stories in addition to making the legal drama in his novels more immersive. All in all, the Brad Madison books combine legal intrigue, character depth, and suspense that have made for some of the most fascinating legal thrillers out there. The overall storytelling in the series continues to intrigue readers and Miller shows no sign of slowing down any time soon.
The first novel of the Brad Madison Legal Thriller series is Force of Justice. At the opening of the story, one of the most powerful men in Los Angeles finds himself charged with murder. He turns to Brad Madison the criminal attorney to represent him in court. However, the homicide case is only the start of their problems. Madison is having trouble with the case as there is mounting evidence against Patrick Strickland his client. While Strickland swears that he does not have any connections to criminals, it is clear that he is involved in organized crime. Things get even more complicated when the case goes national, exposing the underbelly of power in Los Angeles. For Madison, the only thing that matters is to find evidence to clear his client. However, power always comes with danger and the more he digs, the more his life comes under threat. In a case filled with turns and twists, he has to deal with one of the most difficult challenges of his career. Will the dark powers of Los Angeles destroy him or will justice come out on top?
Divine Justice is the second novel of the Brad Madison Legal Thriller series that was published in 2019. The lead once again is Brad Madison who is presented with a new problem. He has no understanding of social media but things are about to change as he will be forced to learn – fast. He has been called in to work on the case of Demarco Torrell, a young man who is accused of shooting dead a 17-year-old YouTube star. His client happens to be the son of a friend of his from the Marines that died in action and he will do anything to keep the kid out of prison. As he dives into the world of social media, he learns that it is a culture that is more dangerous than even that of Wall Street. As the evidence mounts against his client, Brad works even harder to clear his name. He is convinced that someone in that community took out their competition, but finding out who is more difficult than it seems. When Bella his daughter is kidnapped, Madison finds himself in a nightmare in which he will need to deal with demons from his past and some from his present, if he is to save the one person he loves above all others in the world. Yet again, another riveting lead full of twists and turns and a bunch of great characters.
J.J. Miller’s third novel of the Brad Madison Legal Thriller series is Game of Justice. In this outing, Brad Madison the criminal defense attorney has to make a deal with the devil to save his mother from ruin. Rubin Ashby is a ruthless and eccentric real estate guru who always gets what he wants whether it be council approval for his next project or a nip-and-tuck procedure to improve his body. When Walter Powell his protege is charged with the murder of Nicola Beauchamp his ex-girlfriend he contacts Brad Madison. But the latter’s mother just lost money in one of Ashyb’s crooked schemes and is in no mood to help him or one of his friends. But he is ultimately forced to work for Ashby, who promises to pay back his mother if he manages to clear Powell’s name. But as he looks into the case, he realizes he has enemies on all sides from venal corporate lawyers to vicious henchmen, a spiteful prosecutor to corrupt police officers. But the worst part of the deal is having to deal with Ashby, which often seems like a cage fight. Brad doggedly goes after the evidence to get Powell out of trouble. But the more he learns, the more he realizes that there is more to the homicide case than just Powell’s freedom or his mother’s lost money.
