+Biography
Anna Bennett believes she was born to write. It didn’t seem that obvious during her earlier years. But then she hit her teens and discovered novels, and her life changed forever.
The author traces the origins of her writing career to the day she started swiping romance novels from her mother’s bookshelf. She was a teenager at the time. Bennett remembers stumbling upon Pride and Prejudice and falling in love with reading.
During her early teens, Anna Bennett read everything. She experimented with fairy tales, fantasies, and even Greek myths. She loved diving into wondrous worlds and getting lost in the magic of the imagination.
But while all those genres had a special place in her heart, they never satisfied her. She knew she was looking something more but she wasn’t sure what. And then the author came across Jane Austen in a literature class and her world changed.
Bennett had read romance before and she knew she loved it. But it wasn’t until she discovered Jane Austen that the author realized where her true passions lay: historical romance.
Bennett remembers being swayed by the wit and poignancy of Jane Austen. And fortunately for her, her mother had plenty of historical romance novels on hand, novels that she happily lent to her daughter, getting her permanently addicted to the genre.
Because had such an intense love for historical fiction, she immediately jumped at an opportunity that came her way to spend a semester in London. And just as she had predicted, she fell in love with the city.
She was deeply moved by its history, architecture and its pubs. And that should have been enough to push her headlong into the publishing pool. But Bennett was stubborn. Sure, she had dreamt of writing romance on numerous occasions.
But she somehow ended up going into the software analysis business. A litany of decisions led her to settle for that particular career. But none of them mattered in the long run because she did not stay long.
As the years passed Anna Bennett transitioned through a few more careers until she found her way back to publishing. The author joined the Romance Writers of America and began to push out her own tales of historical romance.
For her efforts, the wife and mother of three children won a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart in the category of Regency Historical Romance.
Anna Bennett is a very efficient writer. She has a calendar that she uses to track the number of words she writes every single day. The author has strict writing goals that she endeavors to meet regardless of the challenges that arise.
Some of Anna Bennett’s other passions including Reality Television and Coffee, not to mention cute shoes.

He just needs to hire a governess. The Earl realizes his folly when he meets the candidate vying for the position.
Miss Margaret was once William’s betrothed. And she has everything William could possibly want in a mate: not only beauty but intelligence. It was Margaret’s decision to end the engagement.
The results were expectedly unfortunate for her. At 23-years of age, things do not look good for Margaret in the area of marriage. She is proud but poor and it takes every skill in her arsenal to make William hire her as a governess.
Neither William nor Margaret thought that the attraction between them would spark stronger than ever.
‘My Brown-Eyed Earl’ is designed to be a sweet fluffy story. The book starts with Will inheriting two little girls from his late cousin’s mistress. They are simply left on his doorstep.
He has to find a governess to care for them. He is shocked when the candidate for the job turns out to be the woman who hurt him years earlier. Margaret doesn’t have much choice in the matter.
After her parents died, her fortunes seemed to improve when her generous uncle took her and her sisters in. However, his finances have greatly diminished. Margaret needs to find a new source of income.
Going back to William is the last thing she wants to do. But she must swallow her pride and beg for his help. Margaret had her reasons for abandoning William. William must decide if he’s willing to give their relationship another chance.
+I Dared the Duke
Alexander Savage’s reputation is of great concern to Miss Elizabeth Lacey. It isn’t just the burn scars on his neck that follow the Duke of Blackshire but also the broken hearts he has accrued over the years.
That isn’t even taking into account his ornery disposition, and unfortunately for Elizabeth, she is living under his roof. Even though her position there is as his grandmother’s companion, Elizabeth cannot help but worry about the compelling man.
When Alexander comes to Elizabeth for help, she makes him work for it.
Alexander Savage loves his grandmother and he wants her as far away from his home as she can possibly get. A series of suspicious incidents have him worried and he cannot afford to keep the old woman and her lovely companion around.
Unfortunately for Alex, Elizabeth isn’t too amused to learn about his intentions to banish his grandmother to the country. And she proves to be a far tougher opponent than Alex expected.
The harder he tries to bend her will, the more desire he feels for her. If he isn’t careful, he just might end up falling in love with her.
“I Dared the Duke” tells the story of a young woman who is tasked with playing the companion of a Duchess. The young woman must deal with the Duchess’ prickly grandson.
