Amy Harmon is a USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and NY Times Bestselling novelist of romance, fiction, historical fiction, romantic suspense, fantasy, paranormal romance, and chick lit novels, hailing from Neverland, U.S. She is known to have written several mind-blowing novel series and standalone novels, including the Purgatory series, The Bird and the Sword series, and The Law of Moses book series; and books like Making Faces, A Different Blue, From Sand & Ash, Running Bare Foot, Infinity Plus One, etc. The most recent novel written by Harmon and expected to come out soon is called The First Girl Child. Harmon is believed to have known from a very young age that she wanted to pursue writing after growing up. While growing up, Harmon used to divide her free time between writing stories and songs. Harmon’s upbringing in a rural town played a very important role in her ability to develop a good story. Growing up on a farm meant that Harmon didn’t have access to a TV. The only things she had for entertaining herself were her siblings and her books. Currently, Harmon’s books are being translated and published in more than 18 languages. The Law of Moses series written by author Amy Harmon is comprised of two books in total released between 2014 and 2015. This bestselling series features the main characters in the roles of Moses Wright, Amelie Anderson, Georgia Shepherd, David Taggert, and several others. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘The Law of Moses’. It was self-published by Harmon in 2014. Harmon has mentioned the primary characters in this book in the form of Georgia Shepherd and Moses Wright. She has set the plot in Levan, Utah, U.S. The book opens by depicting that just born Moses is found near a Laundromat by someone. He was wrapped in a cloth and put in a basket when a stranger found him. Just a couple of hours old, Moses’ health was deteriorating and it appeared he won’t make it. Soon after, the locals name him Baby Moses and share his story on a news channel. It was believed that Moses was born to a drug addict.

Right from his birth, Moses was surrounded by problems. He had a deformed body, which made him look like he was messed up. He found love from people around when he was a baby. But, as he grew up into a teenager, people started keeping a distance from him mainly because of his messed up appearance. When Georgia saw Moses for the first time, his image stuck in her mind. She felt drawn to him because of his unusual look. When Georgia Shepherd got acquainted with Moses Wright, her mother warned her to not get too close to him. Just like other people in the locality, she was also told to distance herself from Moses.

Georgia kind of saw a beautiful and exotic soul in the strangely appearing Moses that drew her more towards him. She knew that being with him would change her life in many ways. At one point, Georgia thinks that she should have listened to her mother and stayed away. Even Moses told her to stay away, but she didn’t listen. And eventually, she set herself on the course of a journey filled with heartache, promise, pain, and healing. It looked like an extraordinary love story of new beginnings with no endings. Georgia decides to be with Moses and deal with every obstacle in her path to embracing her love for the cracked man. She seems to be the only one to see the soft-hearted and lovely person that Moses is behind his messed up look.

The second and final installment of the series is known as ‘The Song of David’. It consists of the central characters named David Taggert and Amelie Anderson. This book is set in Salt Lake City, Utah and was also self-published by the author in 2015. Initially, it is depicted that David Taggert is commonly referred to as Tag. He takes part in ring fights and considers it the ultimate thing that excites him. David was just 11 years old when he won his first fight. Since then, he has thrown punches and participated in fights all over the city. David thinks that fighting is the most elemental, truest, and purest thing. It is like heaven to him. He doesn’t see himself doing anything else. The sound of the bell at the start of every fight gives him an adrenaline push that burns like fire in his belly and sweat in his eyes. David considered the octagon as his heaven. But, everything goes for a toss when he meets Amelie Anderson, who is often called as ‘Millie’ by her friends.

The meaning of heaven completely changed for David the day he came across Millie. It was during one of his regular fights. David saw him standing in the middle of a packed room with people buzzing, swarming, slipping around the beautiful Millie, who stood perfectly still with a straight posture, chin placed high and hands kept loose. The people didn’t seem to see Millie, except for a few attendees, who moved past her and tossed exasperating looks at the unsmiling face. It made them realize that Millie was not normal and so they hurried away. Throughout the fight, David kept wondering why the others didn’t see her and yet he witnessed her as the first thing that caught his eyes. Millie’s presence outside the ring gave David the feeling that she was his angel. She seemed to have the power to take him down and then left him up again. David wished to fight for the beautiful girl and claim her as his most precious prize. Millie makes David realize that sometimes the best of the heroes go unsung, and the battles that people think they won’t be able to win turned out to be the most important ones. Harmon’s depiction of characters and the description of the storyline was highly appreciated. It helped the book to become immensely successful and gain a lot of attention.
