Hailing from New Zealand, the author Amo Jones is a writer who has been finding a lot of success recently, largely due to her winning formula of good humor and well drawn characters. Writing in an engaging and insightful style, she really manages to get to the heart of each of her subjects, whilst also never forgetting to entertain her readers. Mainly focusing on the paranormal romance genre, she definitely knows the formula inside and out, having fun with it in the process. Giving her stories a style that flows along easily on the page, she definitely knows what she is doing every step of the way. This also extends to her well drawn characters who practically leap off of the page, staying with the reader long after they’ve put the book down.

Creating a number of series over the course of her writing career too, she really manages to keep her readers hooked, constantly wanting to come back for more. With iconic leading protagonists, she really puts her audience at the heart of the action, allowing them to truly immerse themselves in the storyline. Not showing signs of finishing any time soon either, there’s definitely plenty more books to come, with room to continue expanding on her many franchises indefinitely.

Early and Personal Life

Born and raised in New Zealand, Amo Jones would always harbor a clear love of storytelling and the written word. This would be something that she would continue to nurture throughout much of her education, and on into her adult life. Creating a style that would become entirely singular to her alone, she would work on carving out a niche for herself that was quite unlike any other. Growing up in the small country, this would come to influence a lot of her writing too, inspiring her imagination and ideas in the process. Constantly looking for new big ideas too, she currently lives in Queenstown, New Zealand, she continues to write to this very day.

Writing Career

It would be in 2015 that Amo Jones would write her first novel titled ‘Perilous Love’, which would be a romance novel set in the motorcycle club, or ‘MC’ genre. This would prove to be highly successful for her, as she went on to create the ‘Sinful Souls MC’ series from it, with two other books following on. Along with this series, she would also go on to create such franchises as ‘Razing Grace’, ‘Westbeach’, ‘Elite Kings Club’ and ‘Crowned’. She would also publish a number of stand-alone titles as well, each with their own self-contained narratives, with her work being accessible universally, regardless of the reader’s background. Living with her children and partner, she has a lot more to come, as she continues to maintain a strong presence both online and off, gaining acclaim from both critics and the general public alike.

Razing Grace: Part One

Initially published in 2016 on the 7th of October, this would first come out through the ‘Createspace Independent Publishing Platform’. It would also mark the third title in ‘The Devil’s Own’ series of novels, whilst also setting up the first part of a two-part instalment. With a world that has already been well established in the previous novels, this works well at building upon those many themes and ideas that came before.

With strong dark undertones, this paranormal fantasy novel has a moody ambiance, with a lingering atmosphere surrounding it. The characters all imbue a keen sense of passion that emanates off the page for the reader, slowly drawing them into its seductive world. This is something that Jones excels at, as she knows exactly what it is that she’s doing and wants to do each and every step of the way. Allowing her characters to speak for themselves, they each have their own distinct personalities, that really let the story come alive.

Spending her whole life in service to the Catholic faith, Millie Hart decides to join a nunnery, which isn’t much of a surprise to her friends and family. Things start to go wrong though, once she starts having terrifying nightmares that begin to haunt her every waking hour, as they are now becoming reality. That’s when she’s taken and her entire world begins to fall apart around her, as she must do whatever it takes to keep her head above water. Then there’s Tripp, or ‘Raze’ as he’s also known, who leads the six masked huntsmen, and is an unstoppable force leading an army. Can Millie break through his seemingly impenetrable armor? Will they find out what’s causing her nightmares? What will happen as they find themselves razing grace?

Flip Trick

Brought out in 2018 this time, this would be a completely stand-alone novel, not being a part of any series as such. With familiar themes of romance and passion, Amo Jones really makes the most of her subject matter and premise here. Having come a long way since her first novels, this is definitely a must for any and all of her fans, whilst also being of definite interest for fans of the genre too.

A fun and engaging novel, this sees Jones employ her talent to a more tightly self-contained narrative. Remaining grounded in reality, it really focuses on building the characters, looking at how they deal with difficult situations. Bringing in plenty of romance and passion too, she provides her now trademark air of atmosphere and ambiance to the story. Set in the real-world this time, Jones really makes the most of her locations too, painting a fully vivid landscape along the way.

After having a one-night stand, Amethyst Lily Tatum leaves just as quickly as she arrived, making her abrupt exit the morning after. During her hasty escape though, she leaves behind her phone, which leads to him calling and texting her best friend, as she vows to try and ignore him. Not wanting to attract much attention up to this point, Amethyst likes to focus on her skateboarding, something which she excels at. That’s when she meets her new mother’s new boyfriend, only to discover that her new ‘stepbrother’ is her once one-night stand. How will she cope with this turn of events? Can she navigate and make sense of it all? What will happen when she decides to flip trick?
