Allison Pittman is an American published author.

She has written several novels in addition to series. These include the Crossroads of Grace series, the Sister Wife series, and the Roaring Twenties series of novels. In addition to writing fiction, she has also written nonfiction books such as Saturdays with Stella.

Allison used to be an English teacher at a high school and has served as a theater arts group director at the church that she goes to. She is the co-president of a Christian writing group close to San Antonio, Texas.

She is married to her husband and they have three children together, all boys. They reside in Texas.

Allison Pittman is the creator and the author of the Crossroads of Grace series of fictional novels. The series started off in 2006 with the publication of the debut novel in the series, which is titled Ten Thousand Charms. That was followed with the second novel in 2007. The sequel is titled Speak Through the Wind. The third novel in the series was published in 2008 and is titled With Endless Sight. The first book in the series was nominated in the category of Best First Book for a Rita Award.

The main character in this story is Gloria. She was born into a world that few would choose and works as a prostitute. When she discovers that she is pregnant, she knows who the father is. To be more precise, she knows that is one of the men that she has slept with. Even if she did manage to track him down, he would likely not care that he had impregnated a working woman such as herself.

Living in the Wyoming territories, Gloria is trying to be realistic about the situation and the only way forward that she sees is to somehow get rid of it. This is her intention but suddenly she makes the acquaintance of a miner named John William MacGregan. He’s a father too and he has a young daughter that is a newborn baby. He’s been doing his best to try and deal with the situation, still reeling from the grief of seeing his wife die while in the process of childbirth.

Gloria gets along well with John, and the two agree to make a pact. Gloria will provide childcare for his daughter Kate, and when she gives birth to her own child, John will help raise the child as well. The only thing is that there is no offer of marriage on the table, so Gloria is in effect still remaining a single mother even though she has worked out this situation with the miner.

Neither of them ask the other to marry them, and that’s the way it is. But then John decides that it’s time to take off from the mines. He’s intent on looking for his fortune and finding it in the newly established Oregon Territory. Gloria agrees to go with him with Kate and her new baby, named Danny. They are all together and must try to make it somehow.

Gloria is finally out of a life that involves prostitution and it’s a new life that she is starting. However, she must deal with the fall out that happens from all those years spent working and the pain of her life. The pain has always followed her, and she had dreams of having her own home and starting a family as well as a life that doesn’t include shame just to put the food on the table.

John has faith and Gloria is trying to embrace this new life, but she can’t help but want something more. She has been a woman that has been living a life that is not full of the love that she wants and truly wants to love again. She’s been trying to accept that she is worthy of these things, but feels that the life that she led before this has made her unfit to receive love from any man or even God.

Gloria has been doing her best to try and adapt to a new life, but she’s haunted by all that she has left behind in the past. When a tragedy hits, it may just be enough to make John question the faith that he has in God. Gloria is terrified by the turn of events and this is enough to make her turn to God and ask for help, the one that she’s never truly had the ability to trust in.

She doesn’t know if God can help her preserve what is so important to her, but she’s willing to try. She wants to have God and Christ help her to save her new family, but are they able?
